I read in a review of sony music studio 8 the 16 bit quality wasn't good for releases.

Well tbh, after hearing just studio 7, it sounds more than good enough for an ep or two!

@loco039 I believe you purchase the right to use it and sell it AS YOUR OWN work. The loops cant be resold by them selves. But im not 100%. I recently re-purchased this software and the agreement made it seem that way.

@nine9live5 It has some effects like delay, reverb, flange, and chorus and stuff, but they're not really as good as the effects you'd be getting from a pedal or effects board.

@prammaven Youu need to re-render them after putting them into the timeline and determining the start and end. Once you render anything out as a wav file (under like twenty or so seconds anyway) it will pop in the work space as a looped track.

hey guys!!! i need some help...... i brought the pro tool vocal studio ( USB microphone with build -in sound card) and when i record in acid.....somehow there's so much noise.....what can i do?

It might be your computer soundcard but I'm not sure.

I know I used to mess around with computer music years ago with a midi keyboard and you really needed a proffessionallish soundcard actually in the PC.

Modern soundcards should be ok I'd have thought though.

Otherwise you get a lot of crackling.

Another thing you get with a bog standard soundcard is a thing called latency.

Its slow to pick up what youre doing.

You could get audacity(freebie) and try filtering out noise etc in that.

If anyones absolutely desperate for drum loops or whatever you can get them off magazine disks and install them on your hard drive.. Have a look at your store and see if they have any computer music type of magazines.
