  • fuck if they dont let you JUST DO IT lol pretend you didnt know just put matts under the weight :)

  • were not allowed to do these types of olympic lifts in my gym. its a gold's gym. Do they have gyms that someone can join to to olympic lifts? I want to try some of this type of training.

  • crossfit

  • yep you just gotta look around.

  • You can train at my gym where we have bumper plates for olympic lifting. Where do you live at?

  • nice form

  • what is that, about 270lbs or what, huh?

  • its 180...

  • Hi, I was curious if the power snatch has helped your vertical leap improve substantially? thanks

  • heang, please go to the s&c forum on the OG, I posted a thread there.

    Seemore Butts

  • Nice work. Good technique.

  • nice lifting 5 stars

  • Out of interest, how much does the bar weigh?

  • Standard olympic bars all weigh the same, 20kg/44lbs

  • very, very, very impressive man. lose those 2 kilos and destroy a competition in the 85 category.

  • thats my training weight. I lift in the 85's. cheers

  • Badass... I don't care if it isn't a world record. Still awesome lifts.

  • cheers, yeah it isn't a WR and very few guys ever get anywhere near it!

  • holly fuck its 85 kilos it sounds like a fucking world record attempt lol

  • who the hell are you mate?!

  • You need to calm down mate.

You can probably do it, but wheres the video? You haven't put up a recent video in ages. What are your best comp lifts? We'll see who lifts more in 3-5yrs :)

  • whoa whoa whoa, put that shirt on. rules in my gym. can cause spread of diseases and such.

  • mate...

  • LMAO!!! TROLLS....

  • Absolute jokers

  • How did you learn these? There's no coaches where I live and I'm struggling with the lifts. What would you suggest for a beginner like me?

  • check out USA Weightlifting website. you can find a coach near you!

  • I have a coach and I'm a qualified coach myself. I have been lifting and competiting for 8yrs

  • sweet where you training? I just put up 60kg on my snatch the other day, same as my bodyweight. I love snatch, best lift of all time. Your video is cool, thanks it helps to see it from someone who knows his stuff

  • Woking, Surrey in England. Nice. A BW Snatch is the first goal :) Congrats!

My coach is good and I have been lifting a while so my technique should be good, my coach would be disgusted otherwise!

  • nice work!

  • does the power clean and power snatch work totally different muscles?

  • No. The muscle groups used are pretty much the same.

The Power Snatch is a faster movement. The Power Clean you can lift more weight but you produce more power in the power Snatch due to the increase in speed due to the nature of the lift.

  • alrite ty, i mite have to work power snatches into my workout.

  • you can lift more with teh power clean, so ur probably producing more power than the snatch. heavier weight equals more power.

  • more weight does not equal more power, otherwise the world deadlift record would be the most 'powerful' lift. it is not. it is lifted slowly and it does not produce as much power as the olifts. i'm pretty sure a power snatch produces more power then the power clean, due to the speed of the lift.

  • power = strength/time. so if ur lifting alot more weight even if its a fraction slower, ur producing a lot more power. having said that i think the snatch is the better lift imo.

  • i know power is that. i'm pretty sure force plate analyst has shown the 2nd pull in the snatch produces more power. i just don't know where the exact study is. either way i'd learn both. it doesn't take that much time.

  • you make it look so easy, I am going to try these this week.

  • Practice your form on lighter weights, 40, 50 and 60kg for triples and then after a few weeks, then increase the weight. Make sure your technique is more consistent before moving up.

  • hay koing, this must definitely help your vertical. Im doing these to help my hops

  • My hops are okay.

  • wish i could snatch that much. wish i even had someone to teach me how to snatch!!

  • Good power and effort!

  • My pr is 92,5 kg on 77 kg bw.

  • No one cares.

  • post a video.

  • haha, 97.5kg PS at 77kg? Thats a big Power Snatch, at least 110-115kg full Snatch.

  • nice

  • consider buying a t shirt

  • I may consider it...

  • It is ok!

  • Looking strong Koing!

  • geez bro u had a few press outs there! good job man my best powersnatch is 70 kg with a pressout, weak!

  • I'm working on my PS to get them up to par. I have rarely done them in 6yrs of training. But now it is time to improve them. They are starting to feel better though

  • Nah, not a monster. A monster would be doing 110kg for triples!

  • not at your it would be more like 140 for triples

  • learn to speak.

  • pretty monster

  • awesome lifting koing!
