They instead gave Mother 2 the title of Earthbound. The translated version of Mother, which can only be played via ROMs, was translated by NOA themselves. Just getting that out there...

This vid represent well what's happening in NoA, even now in 2011. Replace Earthbound by Xenoblade Chronicles and it still works. JRPG genre still has a large active fanbase but doesn't get the recognition it deserves. It's not a dying genre as some people like to say.

If more people need to know about EarthBound, I recommend sending out videos informing the masses via Smash Bros or any other means describing & showing the strong points of the game, like the storyline, the humor, the graphics, etc...
