  • THANKS so much for these. My teacher can't teach for his life. SO this is greatly appreciated.

  • Wasnt eclipse or JCreator available in 2006?

  • Whenever I've been away from Java for awhile, I always come back to this series of tutorials for a fast and easy-to-grasp review. You are an excellent teacher: simple explanations, very clear and pleasant teacher. Thank you!

  • Sounds like Jacmob.

  • how would you create two conditions for one while statement?

    that is you want to do xyz while x> y and x<y

  • @Kungfukid564 Make a if statement maybe, followed with a while statement within.

  • boriing zzZ

  • YouRock!

  • Your tutorials are the best!!!!

  • The audio is definitely too low and the video quality could be much clearer.

  • man thanks very much.. your teaching is good pace and said very well..im doing programming meself in first year ill def b lookin through all your tutorials!!! keep em coming and thanks very much was stuck a bit on loops :)

  • way better than buckys tutorials! thumbs up if you agree!

  • why can't the video be in higher defenition ...240p ...its a bit low don't you think?

  • @rostyloco1 did you happen to look at the date the video was uploaded?

  • im new to programming and am seeing how i like the different languages I've tried C, Python, even Fortran. and I never liked java because i thought it was too ambiguous. always too confusing and everything looks the same. Everywhere i went to for help just wanted to show off their knowledge instead of teach. you make it easy to understand, so thank you

  • dude get JGrasp or Jcreator or some compiler makes it much easier

  • thanks

  • Great videos! Helped me with loops :) Better than any tutorial I've read.

  • I'm calculating the amount of money between 1 and 300 cent. I don't know how to make sure the user only enters numbers (cents) between 1 and 300 cents. Any ideas/?

  • @MRCAMS2840 use if statement. that the inserted amount should be less than or equal to 300. amount <= 300

  • I'm calculating the amount of money between 1 and 300 cent.

    Here's my code however I don't know how to make sure the user only enters numbers (cents) between 1 and 300 cents. Any ideas/?

    int y=10;

    while(y>x){  System.out.println(" This is a great tutorial but please higher the volume :P");

  • System.out.println ( "Great Tutorials!" )

  • ;;;;;;;;;;;;;

  • Hilarious

  • i love java

  • Ive studied programming in many ways but I gotta say that this takes the cake! I think video tutorials are a great way to learn programming! keep it up! you are very pedagogic too!

  • YOU ARE AWESOME!!! :)

  • not his fault you're deaf.

  • Who is deaf? Because I am also deaf and a Java Student. Anyway, just wanted to know. Thanks

  • Great video,

    but isn't a 'for' loop effectively the same as an 'if' statement?

    You could do the y<x and keep adding 1 to y until y=x, but surely you can use that under a 'for' loop, or an 'if' statement?

    Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Nope, it won't work with the 'if' statement simply because the 'if' statement is only executed once. The 'while' loop is similar to the 'for' loop, and what you asked will work with the 'while' loop. 'for' is essentially an abbreviated form of a 'while' loop that has an incrementing variable.

  • Thank you for making this video

  • 3:00 re y++

    "That's more confusing than it really is."

    OMG! I love that! I think that's the theme of my entire first programming class! I'm going to embroider that on a pillow! :o)) Thanks again!!!

  • thank you so much for this video, wish you were my prof!!!

  • By the way, I have a huge request... Please as you have explained about object oriented programming, it would be nice to hear your nice explanations about INHERITANCE, POLYMORPHISM and INTERFACES, which are so obscure, and where most of the errors happen when one programs in JAVA... Thank you very much in advance!!!

  • This video series is just superb.. The way you explain all about JAVA is just EXCELLENT..

    I've been consulting BOOKS and books on JAVA, but none is as clear as you are... They go into unnecessary details and one looses the big picture... While yours is a water clear explanation.... THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

  • rsswordhurts i got the same problem and realised that the class name was wrong to the file name checK it out.

  • Hay..I have no compile time errors. but it keeps getting a error message at the run time...(Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: loop)

    PLease explain....

    Thanx

  • you need to save the file same as the class name .

    example : class loops{} so you need to save your file name as loops.java
