I myself had a Stryker hip replacement ceramic on ceramic in 2007 when I was 27 years old, and late last year I started hearing a loud squeak when I would stand up or after standing up after bending over and now it's doing it almost every time I move around. It really sucks, and it's embarassing sounding like a rusty gate everywhere you go.

I had my hip replaced in '98 at the age of 36. My surgeon used a Stryker titanium/plastic and I walk about a mile every day w/no problems and no wear!. He also replaced my dad's and aunt's with the same type and no problems. I don't know why a surgeon would use anything other than what I was given. My whole bill came to about $30K, but the part alone was $7K. Luckily I had employment insurance and I only paid $250.00 deduct.Great deal for a great hip!
I'm guessing 40Gs cause you live in the USA, im sorry you had to pay for that. My wife (25 yrs) just got a metal ball & plastic lined cup. (free) Canada. Man there's alotta squeaky videos on youtube
