You CAN hear the base its just that they blend in to the rhythem and drum beats in the song if ur deaf then i can probably see why you cant hear the base. Any base instrument in any band makes the beat the rhythem and the tune all the rest do is add a more complex sound that stands out. Thats the reason you can hear all the other instuments
