im Iraqi from Baghdad ...this is only 1 of his crimes and unfortunately the u.s government supported him in his wars and even after 1991 against shia rebels he kill thousands just in 2 weeks in the revolution in 1991
@ArmaniEric Let's not forget the Iraqi president Saddam Huissan and his genocide of the Kurds during his tyrannical reign. They suffered horribly. Would we not want autonomy also? Remeber 1776? The Revolutionary War against Great Britian because of oppresive taxation and heavy handed rule?
because.. americans didnt want him to be sentenced for bigger crimes (because america supported him in his crimes and chemical war against Iran and kurds).
If they would sentence him for other crimes saddam would start to say that americans were involved..., so they quickly executed him
yes they were.. however.. they didnt not, or almost never mention that it was used on Iranian soldiers by support of US. They only mentioned kurds, at least from what I know in European media it went like that.. I dont know what the media said in US.

It could be Iran
Why was Saddam sentenced to death for killing 148 people in a Shia town instead?
I think it was not Saddam's orders.

@muimrm
saddam used also chemical weapons against Iran. It's a crime against humanity and genocide.

@IranMarzban
exactly, why would Saddam be sentenced to death for killing some rebels in a village if he had commited genocide?
