@seolma hes not training for sparring, its a preemptive strike where a verbal distractor woulld be used first.Ive seen lads KO fellas with slow motion haymakers in that context,it would never work in sparring .
@billysue2 very true, the emphisis is on attacking hard by suprise and escaping as quickly as possible, with no match as such taking place more of an attack+ escape
Hi mate, that thing you're hitting at 3:55, did you make that yourself? If so what did you make it from? I could do with something like that. The maize bags you get from boxing shops are a bit light for working power shots, that thing of yours looks really heavy, it hardly moves. Great video, I laughed at the part where your mate had that padding over his face but it's a very realistic way to train for a street fight; it's as real as you can get without having an actual fight.
WTF? This has nothing to do with releasing anger. They are training for a street attack situation, with the amount of dickheads walking around the streets these days, being able to defend yourself is essential.
Im not accually punching it and driving my hand into the wall im just allowing the foam in the gloves to compress to the pint of impact and pulling back, its a way of training the impact on the end of the punch,I certainly wouldnt do it without glove on:_)
@kaarl52 if you dont drive through the wall, you arent training the finish/impact at all.You could train finish by punching fro a very short distance or even putting your fist on the wall and pressing very explosively, steve morris makes a big deal of this aspect of striking.
@billysue2 Hi mate, when the boxing glove lands on the wall the couple of inches of padding allow me to drive in that little bit more to get a better understanding of the finish or impact as if i was bare knuckle,so im landing the strike as the glove lands but driving in with the padding to the wall,a different way to train it.but a very similar thing to SM cheers
haha what is that helmet thing made of?

Some good heavy hands there, the only criticism i have is its not too tidy but then you could be just looking for feel at bthat stage.

I'm no expert but that's gonna screw up your joints punching an immovable object.
