Hey hey, you posers who believe that Kai Hansen stole beginning riff from Judas Priest's song "Leather Rebel", well here is the truth:

This riff can be heard on Helloween's song "Victim Of Fate" from 1985, and probably was made by Kai Hnsen himself, so conclusion is that Judas Priest stole that riff from Kai's former band Helloween.

Gamma Ray fans thumb this up so all people can know the truth, and thumb down all those Judas Priest fanboy comments.

Black Leather and Glittering Steel by Riot is also pretty similar to that song a little different but still. Another riff that I've kind of noticed being used quite a bit was the one from looks that kill by Motley Crue very similar to Don't have to be old to be wise by priest. Young Girls by Dokken is also similar. Sounds like I need to get a life lol.

There not from "a" "generation". They're actually a pretty long-term deal started in 1988, and ever since then they have released several albums with no major breaks so that every part of every decade has one album FROM that part of that decade, you get what I mean? Their longest time between albums was between 2001 and 2005

'90, '91, '93, '95, '97, '99, '01, '05, '07, '09

Their '09 album hasn't been named yet, but they'll prolly get around to it within the next few months here.

Awesome song from an Elite band indeed. As far as Power Metal is concerned I'd have to say Gamma Ray is one of the very best. This song is off of their so called "Darker Album" titled Majestic but, still uplifting no matter what since the pure energy is fucking great.

5/5 Stars and a Favorite. One of my favorite Power Metal bands ever.

Kai Hansen loves judas priest...Gamma rays style on a lot of songs is pretty much that of judas priest.. and yeah sounds like leather rebel to me or like you can tell they built this song off of leather rebel..is that really plagarism though or is it inspired by?

I feel disappointed with Gamma Ray: This song sounds exactly like Judas Priest's song "Leather Rebel" from CD "Painkiller" (1990). This is a total shame. ¿Where is the copyright?. I usually buy original CD, even of Gamma Ray. But i won´t do it anymore with their stuff. I saw them in concert this year along with Helloween in the "hellish tour" in Chile. I used to like them, but now i am very angry with them.

Why does everyone compares this to Judas Priest? its a logical thing that this sounds like them cause Hansen is a fan of them and its really going in a sameway musically, but is that a mess. @karenin4 helloween from 1986-early 90's was very good but as soon Kai and Kiske / Ingo the band went to shit. And to this day is a pile of shit. But the first 3 albums were by far prolly in the top 10 metal albums of all time. Gamma Ray is beast too. All of the albums are just as solid.
