I don't know much about economy, but shouldn't the bailout be the life preserver? How is it that trying to create jobs so people can feed their families, drowning them? What an asshole.

The problem is that the spending is never short-term. Who actually thinks Obama and the Congressional Dems are gonna defund all this new stuff the stimulus is gonna create and the gov't jobs created after recovery? Of course not! Obama's just gonna use some excuse to call for MORE stimulus spending, maybe to "keep us from going into another recession." Or some other wacky reason.

As Reagan once said, the closest thing to eternal life on Earth is a bureaucracy.

Lol! Matthews, you dumb fuck. When are you gonna question your savior Obama? Never?? No, spending is not the ONLY way to get us out of this! We didn't need to spend on stimulus to get out of the recessions of Clinton and Reagan, so why is it necessary now? A recession is a recession! Just b/c we have a housing crisis and financial crisis doesn't mean we can't get out of this the same way we did the other times.
