This music is very unusual to most. It took me several times to connect with this music. I love the mysterious and beauty of this music. I thank Prokofiev who composed it and Anne Akiko who is willing to perform it. For those who don't like this music at first, try to listen to it at other times.

This performance features some very strange ideas about portamento and rubato, and is not up to Ms. Meyers' usual high standard. I don't think the conductor understands Prokofiev either; there is precious little forward motion here.
