The history of greatness continues. Way back during WWII they really were the spearhead of Mac Arthurs army. They kicked ass back then and still do. Fallujah, Najaf. In A-stan they run from tanks. God bless em all..
At 0:18-30, 0:51-1:00-1:13 that's my wife and at 4:24-4:31 is my oldest son. He was 5 at the time and he's 11 now. I don't have the words to say how humbling this is. It was very hard for me then and I can honestly say it was the best moment of my life coming back home to them. I was with the 1st CAV, 20th Combat Egineers. I lost three really good friends of mine. Cpt Pintor, Sgt Stout, and Sgt Penamedina. Sgt Pena was one of the finest NCO's I've ever met.
Oh my gosh! That's my wife! The second voice is my wife and son! I didn't know it was them till someone else pointed it out to me and asked me. I didn't know she was interviewed. Wow...just wow.
how can you dislike this video these are the men and women fighting for your rights and your freedom this video made me cry my big bro is in iraq i love and miss him come home big bro i think bout you every night and day and these men and women fight not just for freedom the fight but for the great UNITED STATES AMERICA god please watch over them i love you all be safe and come back safe
I made it home thanks to your prayers America. We fought for those who couldn't defend themselves and those who were deprived of our precious freedom. It was hell but God lead us through the fire. HOOAH! 1st Cav leads the way!
Yeah its already there by lonestar... 3rd ACR... but all my buddies moved to 1ST CAV.... WERE DEPLOYING TOGETHER!! AI EE YAH!!! IF YOU AIN'T CAV... YOU AIN'T *&^%
It really all depends on the soldiers MOS. A soldier in a combat arms MOS is probably going to be less likely to have access to a phone or an internet connection as opposed to a non-combat MOS. Also, it depends on the unit and whether or not they are on a remote FOB or not. Either way its always good to hear their ok
This is sad but times have changed and families are able to talk to their soldiers way more often :] I'm able to talk to my bf everyday :] I'm VERY grateful for that!
Cav's got your back... who ever, where ever..FIrst Team... God bless the families, the unsung heroes... with out you our familes at home, we couldnt do our jobs....
I miss you don you were a great friend of mine, doesn't seem 2 years since your death, I can believe you told your guys to get out before you. you fucker u should be home you dumb fuck you had a child and a wife. YOu all should be home
This is for the young man that posted this video: God bless you! I am so glad that you posted this although you have no affiliation with the military apparently. It has touched so many people! My husband was over there with CAV in 2004-2005 so this meant a lot to me as well.
My son is in Iraq, coming home for 2 weeks leave the 27th this month, so looking forward to seeing him. He's the SAW gunner in his squad now and very proud of it. This is what he always wanted to do. God bless him and all the men and women who voluntarily serve in these difficult times!
You can request to go to Fort Hood. And hope you go to 1st Cav. 1st Cav is a damn good division. I spent 3 years with them with the 1st Air Cav Brigade. Apache Hooah!!
I'm into EI (Esercito italiano) Italian Army....i know what mean all that....i hope all of them come home soon...maybe i've see the 1° division in Iraq
The Vietnam War was a war of independence. We were just the latest imperialist in their history. The military has never been used for defense: it's just corporate welfare and business by force. We don't learn because the propaganda won't let us. We continue because it's still a business system. Oh, and by the way don't forget the 3-3.5 million Vietnamese slaughtered which would make for quite a long wall of names.
