  • The westbound must've startled you pretty good! I sure wasn't expecting it to come when it did. I had the volume up pretty high and I was in fullscreen so even though I knew another train was coming it still made me jump.

  • nice video i like the train that comes from behing

  • CW60ACs were my favorite!

  • lolz, nice catch with the CSX Dash-8 40C leading the TOFC train!!! Quit some action there!!

  • Cool meet.

  • i love the sound USA trains

  • i love the sound of csx trains

  • when they're on the track....

  • haha yea thats true

  • thats what I call high speed railroading - freight wise

  • Comment removed

  • The are running at track speed. This is the old NYC Water Level Route, and it streight, and flat as far as the eye can see... Thanks for watching. Jackmp294

  • That's the real downside of the Water Level, you keep having your view of a train blocked by another train.

Any afternoon out there will yield at least one or two doubles, and sometimes the NKP gets in there and gives you a triple.

But at least they run fast, to get out of the way of the trains following them.

  • which the speed of the train

  • which the speed of the train

  • which the speed of the train

  • isnt that a CW60

  • No! If you want to get technical, they are designated AC6000CW by GE, and CSX.

Never heard of a CW60. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294

  • haha ok

  • @1jackdk CSX designates them CW60AC due to their antique computer not being able to accept designations longer than 6 characters. Likewise, the Dash 8-40CWs are CW40-8, the AC4400CWs are CW40AC, AC4400CW-CTE (controlled tractive effort) are CW44AH (H for heavy?), and all of the SD70 series. The flared SD70MACs are SD70AC to distinguish them from the regular SD70MACs. The SD70ACes are also designated SD70AC due to the 6-character limit.

  • @1jackdk Technically, he means CW60AC, but they are designated AC6000CW, CW60AC, and a few other names I can't think of off the top of my head...

  • @1jackdk CW60AC is what CSX designates AC6000cws. It stands for 6000 hp AC traction.

  • Nice catch! 5/5

  • Love the whine of those AC's! Great video

  • i need one for my train layout.

  • great catch jack

  • Nice Video!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very nice catch! Gotta love them AC60's!

  • amazing vid!

  • I love it!! Is that the Chicago Line? I've watched trains alot on it near Cleveland Ohio. Tons of Traffic!

  • Yes it is the Chicago line, Its the ex-NYC Water Level Route, and its a very busy line to be sure.

  • if you were just a hundred yards back you could have seen them meet face to face

  • I think it worked out nice though. I never knew the west bound was coming, as I was standing behind a signal box. But it was a nice suprise.

  • eitherway that was a good view.

  • A two-fer! Great catch.

  • Very nice video!
