XP Pro and OSX on a MacBook

Yeah, it's fine, it doesn't run any slower at all. This is not a gaming system, but for all non-gaming activity you will never see anything slow.

How is it (macbook) running with an external dislay? Does the video card strong enough for it? I just want to use osx without xp.

The caveat here is that Parallels is not suitable for gaming. If you want to play Windows games, or do some Windows A/V production, etc you should probably Boot Camp. But Parallels will run everything else lovely.

I have slight time for games, and if I do I want them to be Mac native... or maybe run Linux games under X11/etc.

I have WinXP Pro installed using Parallels for Mac. I have two displays; the desktop display attached via mini-DVI to DVI converter. I made some preferences changes for the two screens (positioning) via System Preferences. Then I launch Parallels, booting WinXP in the other screen (on the MacBook), and make it full screen. If you have the Parallels tools installed in WinXP, you can freely move the mouse about without having to ALT-ENTER to get it out of WinXP.

Sorry, it's a crap video... I was trying to hold the camera in one hand, and use the mouse in the other. Which is why it sucks. But mainly I was just trying to demonstrate dual-screen dual-OS setup on a cheap notebook. I definitely recommend getting 2GB of RAM if you are going to do it that way.
