  • respectfully, we must all find ways to feed our children that do not cause further harm to the environment. plant gardens among the trees, harvest and store. this will ensure food for your grandchildren and so on.

  • They are simply trying to catch up to the rest of the world in improving their quality of life. How is that wrong?

    And if we want them to stop destroying rainforests and altering the diversity of wildlife, why don't we help? Why don't we help without making demands for heavy returns? Why don't we help whilst eliminating the heavy materialistic influence and fattening our own greedy desires of profiteering from their growth? Why can't we lend them a hand with trust and generosity?

  • nations that have been inhabited by humanity for millenia. They are currently developing countries with large populations, whose motive for developing their nations whilst sacrificing some portions of rainforest and wilfelife are to sustain themselves and improve their quality of living. Nobody wants to be poor and hungry. Nobody wants to have to see their child die young or their loved ones helplessly destitute. So, they are following the same path as civilizations in the West.

  • It's good that there are people like that in Costa Rica. They have been educated enough to know what should be done and they have been compensated more or less to their satisfaction by the government and water companies to sustain their lifestyle. But herein lies the problem to a similar issue about the rainforests in Asia brought up in another BBC Worldwide video. Costa Rica is still a relatively "New World" per se. Those other Asian nations, i.e. China, India, Indonesia, etc... are old
