To the contrary TD84, Theresa is a very qualified and talented self defense instructor. You are taking things out of context: She recommends keeping volume down on her MP3 which is only smart should someone decide to use one while jogging. The board break was most likely something the video company decided to throw in, but in practice she uses trained padded attackers in her self defense training. And we learn from our mistakes so others don't have to make those same mistakes.
@BillKipp Wait, let me understand this... I took her words out of context? She stated, with a smile, "... have been lucky enough to gone through several experiences..." It sounded like she was proud of the fact that she was put into situations where she could be taken advantage of. Martial arts, and instructors who have her understanding give women a false sense of security.
@BillKipp Hey Mr. Kipp is the "Don't be a Victim" show coming back to Spike TV for another season? If so, when? Will it ever be available on dvd? This was a great show, the public really needs this information.
Breaking boards is a cheap parlor trick. The fact her rules are, "Stay alert" yet she condons listening to music on an MP3 player while jogging, and she states, "I, as a self defense instructor, have been lucky enough to gone through several experiences" as if that is a good thing? If anything this instructor unqualified.
Why was she jogging at night?
