hey man i am strugglin with the fast part i just can`t get my right hand fast enough cuz i have some difficulties with the fact that you have to go to 13g and back to 10 at b
the same with the lower strings, could you give me some tips on how i could build up speed? i hope you can help me cuz i really want to play this song i just cant because i have problemes with the fast part :(
@sutorat Sorry to say it man but you've just got to keep doing it - speed comes with practise, just gotta stick with it over time and you'll get there
hey there, i came across this vid- appreciate u upload this.. question, at 0.40secs, when u played 13th and 15th fret and mute the 10th fret, do u play just the b and e strings , or it's b , e and g strings as well? i was trying to observe it but just couldnt see properly..
@alfidino The 10th fret isn't muted there - you're using that as the 'base note': it's a pull-off from 15 to 13 to 10 on the B string, then 13 on the G string, then 10 on the B string. The 15-13-10 pull-off is a 16nt note triplet, the last two notes are just 16th notes
Hello, great guitar play! but i have a question..at 14sec i see you doing pull offs but then you start pick so witch is it all pull of or picking each note?
wow man thanks so much for this, it aint easy seein as i've only been playin a few months and can play right up to the last ben on the 13th fret on the B string but didn't ever ever think i could get the fast part, seriously making good progress my wrist is killin me, my fingertips are shot but hey its worth it lol!! Keep it up man SDMF!!!
Thanks alot for this video, had an idea of this but its great to see i was right :) I just have one problem.
When i play 15 and 13 fret on e string, and i go up on b and play 13 fret, i get the b string to ring alot when i lift up my finger again. How do you mute the string that fast so i wont ring when you lift it? Thats the only thing annoying me :)
@AndeDK Well I have my index finger muting the b string, as well as fretting the 10th fret. That way, you play the b string like normal but it won't make any noise when you take your finger off
lol when i clicked on the vid all i saw was "Farewell Ballad - Fast Section..." and i started watching the vid and i was like NOOB but then i saw the full title xD

awesome! gj! how did you learn that??
Arvains 1 year ago
you use your index finger only on the high E string or on the B and E string? Cause when I only put it on the E string I tend to get an open B sound
olaivo 1 year ago
@olaivo I only have mine on the E string - it just comes with practice really. I tend to use my picking hand to help mute the other strings

Thanks alot i will pick every o9ne then!...ill subscribe!..please return the love haha

whatulookenat639 1 year ago
@whatulookenat639 It's up to you really, whatever feels best for you! Either way just make sure it's really cleanly played and it will sound good
(Zakk does pick every note though, so if you want to do it 'properly' then that's what you should do)

u should redo a cover of farewell ballad, seems like u got better at it
IronButcher1 2 years ago
If you search for 'Farewell Ballad - Marshall JVM and Epiphone Explorer' that's my latest version
evilotto77cheese 2 years ago
You could do it with any amp that has a line out or something similar (I used one of the less powerful alternate cabinet outputs on the back of mine)
evilotto77cheese 2 years ago
Well I plug it into a digitech RP90 pedal first, and then plug the headphone output of that into the microphone socket.
That way if anything breaks it'll be the RP90 which is cheap and easy to replace
evilotto77cheese 2 years ago
lol when i clicked on the vid all i saw was "Farewell Ballad - Fast Section..." and i started watching the vid and i was like NOOB but then i saw the full title xD
DevonatorMetalMaster 2 years ago
No, normally I plug the amp straight into my computer through the microphone socket and the quality's even better
evilotto77cheese 2 years ago
This was just the mic on the camera (that's why it's only coming out of the left speaker)
