Please put some leaf springs on that thing I have owned several and have 2 right now and they look like boats without the proper rake, sounds really good but the droopy ass has to go
good god! I think I just peed a little bit. dude, please put up some footage of this torino on the gas. I need to hear that CJ opened up. I love the sleeper look. simple wide steel wheels are bad ass! I try teaching kids these days- Less is more. Unless we speak of cubic inches.
That’s a sinister looking machine. The 429 SCJ (the one with the solid lifters) was one of the strongest muscle car engines ever built. In showroom tune it was every bit as powerful as a sharply tuned 426 Hemi. It could power a 4300 lb Torino to 13.8 second elapsed times at 104mph.
@DONDIVA1969 I think the quickest showroom Hemi powered Chrysler was the 1968 Hemi Roadrunner...it had a 1/4 mile time 13.1 sec at 105mph...i don,t think the 429SCJ was as powerful as the Street Hemi
@68bobba Probably not, I believe the fastest three street motors were, correct my if I'm wrong as this is coming off my head from the memories of reading old magazine road tests from the '80s... anyways, were Chrysler's 426 HEMI, Chevy's LS6 version 454 (some may dispute that the Buick 455 was GM's bad-boy) and Ford's BOSS 429 (also a hemi design, but Chrysler trademarked the word/term HEMI, which was a wise marketing decision if you look back & helped sell loads of new RAM trucks, lol)
@NedacFilms To Hell with the springs. Looks great with that rake. Don't touch it.
