The name of the song is "Blues In A Dream". Check out Jerry's version with Guitar Ray & the Ramblers in Italy, especially the untitled version with the set intro.
Portnoy was a giant sound but Kirk Fletcher ain't making the guitar sing much here. RIP Jerry Portnoy! Too young to go. The harp takes out a lot of musicians young it seems. Must be the crap in the air they have to eat every night. Only instrument in the room that sucks.
Jeery's not dead. I would have heard about it had he died. I just did a Google on him and there's nothing mentioned anywhere. it would be pretty big news in the blues/music world if he died.
oh ya i agree with you man, bharath has really got walter down like nobody...i think i may have posted that comment before i was hip to bharath...still, jerry is a master.
i have seen Jerry a few times at the first house of blues to open that was in Boston but sadly it is no longer there the building was sold a few years back .but saw a lot of great blues men and there bands there like Charley muslewhite, little walter,James cotten,James Montgomery and it would be hard to say who was betterat there craft but Jerry was very smooth you all most floted if you closed your eyes any great tune keep the Blues going
WTF happened to the house of BLUES? I used to play at the one in Cambridge. The ones that are left are all hard rock and shit. That f'n pisses me off.

Jerry is well & alive. As he is bad tempered, he 'll live to 100 years. Let's tell him to go out of his northern frozen basement & PLAY!
