  • thanks for tainting this video with your dumb comment, just proves my point that Federer fans are pretentious pricks.

  • this has gotta to be one of the greatest clay court matches of all time. how can it not make you a fan of Coria?

  • wtf is up with the stupid annotation @ 00:52 ??

  • @TheWinnie2010 ha, I lol'd when I saw that

    Saludos.

  • damn at such a young age

  • io c'ero, i was there

  • omg, this is reallly tough tennis. wow.

  • both plays their best tennis.beautiful match.

  • he plays this level of clay court tennis against the best clay courter other than hinself before he wins roland garros.incredible

  • wow ¡¡¡ that is power

  • @mfreemanflynn , let us count how many hard court masters series are there in a year.Indian wells,Miami,Montreol, cincinatti,Paris,Shanghai,Masters cup in London.Altogether 7.Now hard court slams-US and australian open-2.Grass court slam-wimb.So Federer`s favorite surface tournaments are 10 in a year. That is 10 main tournaments are held on fed`s surface of choice. Now let us assess main tournaments held on clay-Monte carlo,Rome,Madrid and French open.So in total 4 tournaments favour Nadal.

  • @mfreemanflynn ,if one assess one can see that 7 hard court masters are held in a year and 2 hard slams plus 1 grass slam.10 main tournaments are held on fed`s favorite surfaces.Only 3 masters are held on clay 1 clay slam-only 4 tournaments are held on Nadal`s surface of choice. It is just that Nadal has overcome every odds to win on every surface. When Nadal starts to win on a surface considered unfavourable to him, suddenly Nadal haters begin to name those surfaces as slow ect.How irrational!

  • @mfreemanflynn ,Let us try to understand the surface. The wimbledon which is considered as slow by Nadal haters account for most no of aces among grandslams this year.In the so called slow wimb surface,Isner and Mahut served 100 aces each in a single match.200 aces in a match!,on slow surface!.At aus open,i agree that ballbounces higher than on US open. But it is still hard court and cannot slide on that surface.Who were the winners of Aus open last five years?2006,2007-Fed.2008-Djoko,2009-Nad.

  • @mfreemanflynn ,In Aus open, winners of last five are-2006,2007-Fed,2008-Djoko,2009-Nadal,2010-Federer.Up until Nadal won the 2009 Aus open, the surface was fast.In 2009 Nadal won and suddenly surface became slow. This year Federer won and surface suddenly became fast.Nadal haters are like chameleons which changes its colour according to the sorroundings. When it is unconcievable for them to avccept the simple fact that Nadal worked hard to master every surfaces, nadalhaters begin to concoct rubbish.

  • @menakandy it isn't true for hard court but its true on slow wimbledon. It started there because federer can serve better, nadal wouldn't have won if wimbledon is fast and more players will have a good s&v technique en route if this is the case. But the hard court GS was always same, players cannot escape without any rallies there.

  • @menakandy Australian surface became more slow in 2008, when rebound ace became plexicushion. The rebound is also higher.

  • @LawrenceTheFirst I don't agree. It's even up for debate. No matter how matches he won against him and no matter how he's number #1 right now, Federer's still on top due to his number of Grand Slams and titles obtained. Furthermore, it's childish to think Nadal is better than Federer because if you look at the matches played against them, they're very even on score. No more, no less.

  • Extraño tanto tu magia MAGO...

  • omg coria was such a great player on clay, if only his mind would have stayed sane a little bit more...for sure he would have won at least 1 RG

  • This is it!

    The best clay final!

  • federer is older than Nadal. they are not of the same generation.

can you imagine a 28yo Nadal beating any 22 year old?????

  • @pmo1983 actually nadal is now 24 and federer just turned 29 - so federer is less than 5 years older than nadal.generally spoken you say your physical abillities peak in the age of 23 to 28. and nadal has beaten federer before he turned 23 so often. and yes, i can imagine a (not injured) 28 or 29 years old nadal beat some 22 years old guys. doesn't mean nadal's generally better than fed but the age (at least in this case) is no real argument

  • @pmo1983 yes i can imagine that

  • i fucking hate YouTube's new format

  • this match ruined corias career. if he had won this match hed still be a top player. but since he blew another big lead that f'd him up mentally and he never recovered. 05 us open was his last good tournament

  • Oh well, he's a fag anyway :D

  • i think that are a fan of coria, don't you?

    so kind words...

  • Personally I think he was better here than he is at the moment...

  • rafael nada PATHER

    roger federe SON

    eheheheeh

  • Erm.... folks, this video features Guillermo Coria and Rafael Nadal. Why is Roger Federer being debated here?

    Maybe I'm missing something.

  • Overall, Fed's better than Nadal. His game has got way more variety, he's more versatile, and he's wiser (e.g. looking after his body etc. so he can compete fully all season long). Nadal's still an insanely good player, one of the best ever (for sure, lol). But his H2H record against Fed isn't cos he's better, it's cos his game is simply so damn effective against Fed. Fed's basically got 1 weakness- high backhands. Nadal's game is designed around hitting high to the backhand!

  • Why doesn't Rafa hit his forehand with that much tenacity any more? I think he'd stand a better chance of winning the Open if he stuck to what he did best.

  • Exactly what I'm thinking... I love the guy but I don't get the same feeling watching him play anymore. Last year I thought no-one could beat him but now he doesn't seem to hit as many winners :\

  • ROGER FEDERER = ALMOST 28 YEARS OLD RAFAEL NADAL = 23 YEARS OLD ... :d when roger was rafa's age he only had 3 slams, and only on two surfaces, grass and hard. ... :d rafa has a career grand slam already... roger didn't get one until recently. ... :d head to head, roger and rafa: 13-7 for rafa ... :d clay: 9-2 for rafa ... :d
  • my mistake, not a career grand slam, i meant slams on all the surfaces

  • Look how Nadal looks now. I reckon Federer made him look like a vegetable.

Federer: 28 years old, Nadal 23 years old.

Federer: looks fit, Nadal: looks like an old granny.

To be a shot above all, you have to be smart. Nuff said.

  • when you say "he looks like an old granny, do you mean that he can't move? because if you watch any of his matches, even when he's seriously injured, he is still moving better than a lot of pros.

or do you mean that he just looks old and out of shape?... nadal can curl 66 pounds with his left arm, and about 57 with his right, do you realize how much weight that is?

  • Federer never MADE him look like a vegetable, Nadal kicked his ass every time. Nadal is just a hard worker, and there's a reason his body is breaking down on him now. That's because he started playing when he was 3, Federer was about 7 or 8 when he started.

Also, Federer's a fag. He only acts nice when he wins, but when he loses he's a fucking crybaby brat. You only recognize him being nice because he wins all the time.

  • "You only recognize him being nice because he wins all the time. "

    Almost yes.

  • c'mon...everbody is nice when winning and a motherfucker when losing...it's natural we always wants to win!!!

  • @wisnerff Someone like Novak Djokovic (happens to be my favorite) gives fantastic sportsmanship even when loses, just as much as when he wins.

Federer has to realize that he has enough, and he doesn't have to act like a total dick when he doesn't get EVERYTHING.

  • The only think i don't agree with Federer was when he throw the bottle of water... I have other thinks to say...but my english is to bad...

What i can say is that I agreee with you in parts...

  • Watch Federer on David Letterman. He says he started playing when he was 2.

  • the forehand of nadal in incredible

  • Re: federer>nadal... Yeh thats why rafa is 13-6 against him (And lets not forget that a couple of those wins came when rafa was either dead tired or he was really inexperienced and low on confidence)
