It started there because federer can serve better, nadal wouldn't have won if wimbledon is fast and more players will have a good s&v technique en route if this is the case. Overall, Fed's better than Nadal. His game has got way more variety, he's more versatile, and he's wiser (e.g. looking after his body etc. so he can compete fully all season long). Nadal's still an insanely good player, one of the best ever (for sure, lol). But his H2H record against Fed isn't cos he's better, it's cos his game is simply so damn effective against Fed. Fed's basically got 1 weakness- high backhands. Nadal's game is designed around hitting high to the backhand!
