@Brandon18valensi To learn it and perfect it? I'd say a few weeks with at least two hours of practice per day. But maybe that's just me, I like to be very thorough.
I find people learn much more efficiently by focusing on a lot more than one piece at a time. It's taken me two years to get to performance standard, but over that time I have also learned a huge amount more. Don't expect to get something like this down in a short amount of time, you will only limit your playing without branching out into other areas as well.
Hi! Very nice playing! Will put up a cover soon!, But i want a special sound thou, Can u tell me in details what amp settings, pick-ups and if u have.. Any pedals you are using for this cover! It would help me alot! It would really help me if u could just tell me!, Again. Nice cover! Keep Pickin'!
Remarkable Performance! I enjoy a guitarist who plays with feeling! Your facial expresions show your passion for that song and an Amazing guitarist we all lost way too soon!
Menos estalado.
Nice! I play it through a Marshall half stack too, but the Fender duel reverb is tough to match. You're off the hook since Stevie played a Marshall on stage in late career. Keep it up.
great great cover man...takes a brave man to entitle a vid "lenny (note for note)...but you nailed it. how long you been playing for?? ive just started to learn lenny..but its a tuffy man! i will get there though! anyway once again amazing cover....thanx for post!!
Fuck all those critics. You rocked it brother, I feel you ya man. Great job. Anyone who can express themselves on six strings is alright. All you dudes that are playing, Keep on playing. We are all trying to get somewhere with music. Music can heal if you feel it. Rock on People. Peace.
music sooths the soul...no matter how good or not so good you are at making it....your right!...fuck the critics...its funny cos they never leave a video response..lmao...very strange! totally dig your comment...well said!
I was going to say what somebody else said a few comments down......you did an amazing job doing it note for note, but you should redo it with a bit of your own flavor! you know what the feel is, so doing it out of your own would be amazing.......you just gotta work out those pentatonic riffs and sprinkle in some major notes during the improv and youre good to go!......
Tried playing lead quitar, hands to big, can play a little bass. People just don't understand how hard it really is to master at playing a guitar, unless your born with the talent. I can play the drums though, lol. Wish I could play like you.
Good Job, well down. Like to have seen you played it like on Stevie's youtube version SRV lenny, where he's smoking a cigerette while playing, the best version of lenny I have ever heard Stevie play.
wow, this is great, but man ill tell u somethin, stevie never played the same song twice, cause he used all the the scales and patterns in the gutira that im sure u kno to make it sound better and better every time!!!! u should try doing this out of the penatonic and major penatonic and re post this. rock on dude!
i do nothing but listen to stevie ray. you did well but still not as good as vaughan. you added alittle stuff in there. i know this song by heart. i cant play as good as you so im not trying to bring you down. you are very good! keep it up
It is not a tele pick-up, although that guitar has something of a telecaster sound to it, i guess its from the body which is rather light. It is a brazilian hand-made pick up by a maker called "Cabrera", good pick-ups, he imports the materials from the same suppliers as Seymour Duncan. Check out one of the first comments here on this song, there is more info on that guitar...
I just came over to watch something pretty. (ha ha) I couldn't play like this no matter how many sandwiches I ate and JD I drank and then went to sleep. HOPE YOU'RE DOING WELL!!
Amazing touch and feel and presence. That's somthing you can't learn from a book or lessons. If my mom wouldn't kill me, I'd give you my address so you could come over and teach me some of that. You really need to get some more videos up. You really need to break out and be the next thing.
I have no clue why ive never seen your videos before, cause man i was missing out!!Freakin awesome job!!!I Love your strat btw...and your amazing tone your gettin from your marshall!!
It's a brazilian maker called Tagima... Now a days they suck(the new Tagimas) as the brand was bought by a company and the man himself (a tiny little old japanese man that looks like mr Miaggi from Karate Kid,lol) isn't making the guitars anymore, but the one I have is an old one, custom made (not for me tho) that I recently bought for this Satriani/SRV tribute I put together...The black pick-up is also hand-made by a brazilian guy called Cabrera, good pick-ups...
Sweet!!!

Also, Stevie used soul. There is no soul into this. There are a lot of mutes that shouldn't be there and it just doesn't "feel" right.
