  • Sweet!!!

  • too distorted

  • That is definitely not note for note.

  • Also, Stevie used soul. There is no soul into this. There are a lot of mutes that shouldn't be there and it just doesn't "feel" right.

  • @guitarmanscout someone feeling a bit jealous...

  • Beautiful!

  • amazing tone!!! i applaud you from texas brother! amazing

  • Finally someone who can actually play the song, sounds brilliant mate.

  • I would really love a tutorial of the solo parts..

  • i find that this guy looks like SRV him self

  • how much time does it take you to elarn a song note per note? ( a song like this)

  • @Brandon18valensi To learn it and perfect it? I'd say a few weeks with at least two hours of practice per day. But maybe that's just me, I like to be very thorough.

  • @Brandon18valensi

I find people learn much more efficiently by focusing on a lot more than one piece at a time. It's taken me two years to get to performance standard, but over that time I have also learned a huge amount more. Don't expect to get something like this down in a short amount of time, you will only limit your playing without branching out into other areas as well.

  • awsome man!!! very good rendition of lenny. love the sound you got in that set up .

  • how could you dislike a video that is exactly what the title says and sounds unreal ?

  • Twelve idiots THINK they can do better ~ Yeah right, anyway, NICE job... Thanks ~

  • man you got the tone, great great playing

  • TO MUCH VOLUME

  • Hi! Very nice playing! Will put up a cover soon!, But i want a special sound thou, Can u tell me in details what amp settings, pick-ups and if u have.. Any pedals you are using for this cover! It would help me alot! It would really help me if u could just tell me!, Again. Nice cover! Keep Pickin'!

  • great playing but treble is pretty harsh.

  • Remarkable Performance! I enjoy a guitarist who plays with feeling! Your facial expresions show your passion for that song and an Amazing guitarist we all lost way too soon!

Menos estalado.

  • amigo. tem tablatura dessa musica ae?

  • how do u get the background beat without guitar?

  • its not about notes..

  • dude that was f...kin awesome hope u can do the solo slow so beginners like me can try 2 pik it up thanks man...

  • How could anyone watch this and not like it? Lay down your water bongs people and give your head a shake...

  • excellent playing! Great job! Only thing is just it sounds a little too thin? Maybe the mic or something but the playing is awesome!

  • Nice! I play it through a Marshall half stack too, but the Fender duel reverb is tough to match. You're off the hook since Stevie played a Marshall on stage in late career. Keep it up.

  • Do you have any acoustic stuff you do? Would love to hear that. Great playing brother!

  • Damn this guy is amazing. He's so dead on note for note if I close my eyes I think I'm listenind to the album. Bravo x 10

  • what a great cover :D

    5 stars

btw was it plugged right into that jcm800?

  • Hi,

I love the tone ! What pickups do you use ?

    Great playing !

  • I am finally getting to the point where I am not just playing the notes, but actually playing the song. Like your cover.

    robo hippy

  • You should practice more. All kidding aside that was fucking kick ass thanks for posting this.

  • thumbs up!

  • That's just freakin unreal. Great job brah!!!!!!

  • SRV....legend. You rock mate...

  • That's some soul. Fucking amazing playing and feel.

  • great great cover man...takes a brave man to entitle a vid "lenny (note for note)...but you nailed it. how long you been playing for?? ive just started to learn lenny..but its a tuffy man! i will get there though! anyway once again amazing cover....thanx for post!!

  • you even put your own style to it note for note. i dig this great song!

  • Cara...

    timbre FODAA!

  • Flawless.....awesome job......your the man

  • YEAH! Guitar face and all! lol

  • great tone

  • Excellent. I liked your tone, feeling, and groove. 5 stars

  • Fuck all those critics. You rocked it brother, I feel you ya man. Great job. Anyone who can express themselves on six strings is alright. All you dudes that are playing, Keep on playing. We are all trying to get somewhere with music. Music can heal if you feel it. Rock on People. Peace.

  • music sooths the soul...no matter how good or not so good you are at making it....your right!...fuck the critics...its funny cos they never leave a video response..lmao...very strange! totally dig your comment...well said!

  • Que microfonos usas para la guitarra?

What hambuckers are using? sorry my english

    perdon pr mi ingles!

  • That was fucking cool!

    great job!

  • Well played note for note, just not a fan of the tone. It lacks the emotion of the song. Speed also has a lot to do with it.

  • Fantastico !!! timbre , pegada ... Belo cover !!!

  • yeah man so good my friend !

  • Wow! Great tone!

  • I was going to say what somebody else said a few comments down......you did an amazing job doing it note for note, but you should redo it with a bit of your own flavor! you know what the feel is, so doing it out of your own would be amazing.......you just gotta work out those pentatonic riffs and sprinkle in some major notes during the improv and youre good to go!......

  • srv does a great improv on the lick start 3:26 on the el mocambo video.

however this title does say note for note, so big deal that he doesn't improv.

  • yeah, no big deal..............

  • awesome job at the lick at 4:05

  • Wow! You took absolutely nothing away from an absolutely beautiful song. Bravo.

  • Tried playing lead quitar, hands to big, can play a little bass. People just don't understand how hard it really is to master at playing a guitar, unless your born with the talent. I can play the drums though, lol. Wish I could play like you.

  • Good Job, well down. Like to have seen you played it like on Stevie's youtube version SRV lenny, where he's smoking a cigerette while playing, the best version of lenny I have ever heard Stevie play.

  • wow, this is great, but man ill tell u somethin, stevie never played the same song twice, cause he used all the the scales and patterns in the gutira that im sure u kno to make it sound better and better every time!!!! u should try doing this out of the penatonic and major penatonic and re post this. rock on dude!

  • Great man! I'll definately watch it!

  • i do nothing but listen to stevie ray. you did well but still not as good as vaughan. you added alittle stuff in there. i know this song by heart. i cant play as good as you so im not trying to bring you down. you are very good! keep it up

  • well done!

  • DEMAIS!!!!

  • Very good cover my friend, but nothing can touch on SRV version obviously, but a fantastic attempt anyway, better than I could do =] well done!

  • fuck up

  • brilliant !!

  • Awesome cover! Love the sound, love the feel... just great!

  • how did you get your marshall to sound so bright

  • turn the treble up

  • is that a tele pickup in the neck position? great tone..

  • Hey sysphus, thanks.

It is not a tele pick-up, although that guitar has something of a telecaster sound to it, i guess its from the body which is rather light. It is a brazilian hand-made pick up by a maker called "Cabrera", good pick-ups, he imports the materials from the same suppliers as Seymour Duncan. Check out one of the first comments here on this song, there is more info on that guitar...

    Cheers

  • You did really well.

I only have on complaint and that is that I think you used too much distortion.

  • beutiful lar you have painted the mona lisa

  • I just came over to watch something pretty. (ha ha) I couldn't play like this no matter how many sandwiches I ate and JD I drank and then went to sleep. HOPE YOU'RE DOING WELL!!

  • Thank you for sharing. Very nice job.

  • u truly are a brilliant guitarist and u certainly

deserve fame & fortune although every time

i see someone playing SRV it makes me want to go on my guitar. WELL DONE .

  • nice playin man. u really got it goin.

u´ll have a great future playing blues like that and satriani stuff.

one of the best new guitarists i´ve seen.

    maybe try some Santana too

    keep it up. :)

  • it's unbelievable how that brit amp sounds this way... nice playin though

  • Amazing touch and feel and presence. That's somthing you can't learn from a book or lessons. If my mom wouldn't kill me, I'd give you my address so you could come over and teach me some of that. You really need to get some more videos up. You really need to break out and be the next thing.

  • Now one of my favorites!Beautiful sound!

  • I have no clue why ive never seen your videos before, cause man i was missing out!!Freakin awesome job!!!I Love your strat btw...and your amazing tone your gettin from your marshall!!

  • muito bom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • muito bom, adoreiii..

  • That was awesome! Great job man! That's a nice setup you've got going on. Please check out my short cover of 'Lenny'.

  • hey Rico, not only do you play cool, but you look the part too!

  • hey let us know some info about that kind of strat... sounds incredible!!!!!!

  • It's a brazilian maker called Tagima... Now a days they suck(the new Tagimas) as the brand was bought by a company and the man himself (a tiny little old japanese man that looks like mr Miaggi from Karate Kid,lol) isn't making the guitars anymore, but the one I have is an old one, custom made (not for me tho) that I recently bought for this Satriani/SRV tribute I put together...The black pick-up is also hand-made by a brazilian guy called Cabrera, good pick-ups...

  • @SurfingWithTheCowboy this was awesome.. nice

  • GREAT MAN!!! GOOD FEELING! BEAUTIFUL

  • Nota por nota!!! fantástico. Parabéns pela sonoridade.
