  • what kind of a dick gives a priority flight a VOR-DME approach? why not the ILS? or the visual? lol

  • Shit just get the 2nd officer to kick it a few times to see if its latched properly.

  • 'Persons on board' is correct. 'Souls on board' is an old term, no longer "officially" in use. And an emergency doesn't necessarily mean a mayday. A lot of emergencies leave the pilots in control of a decently operating aircraft, but under less than optimal conditions, such as no-flaps landings, or arrestments.

  • Sound more like a pan situation than emergency to me.

    No mayday call.

Good job of the US atc.

  • so wat is going on my spekrs suk

  • GOOD ATC!!! MADE MY HEART RACE. I remember when a piolet called me and said HE was on fire...

  • Do they always use the term "souls" when talking about how many people are onboard?

  • yes proper terminology for ATC is 'souls on board'

  • Yes.

  • @gabeuop79

what I understood is that they prefer to use souls, pronunciation is a part of the explanation and the possible confusion regarding people who are on board as passengers or employees.

  • No. Air Shuttle is Mesa Airlines. This flight was operated for United Airlines.

  • That would be Janet.

  • oh kool thx =]
