Yes, our rest is in Jesus Christ - when we allow Christ to live in us, we rest from our struggle (works) of trying to make ourselves right with God - instead we allow Christ through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to make us right with God. So when we have Christ living in us we have entered into that rest.
And we live in that rest on a daily basis not just one day a week - rest is eternal once we have Christ in us so a weekly Sabbath is no longer necessary - it was only a shadow of what was to be under the Old Covenant but now that the form has come we are no longer in need of the shadow.

So He is tying in the two in saying that when you cease from, you are at rest. You are Sabbath Keeping!

Thank you for sharing... I think i will look at Isaiah 58 in different way... If we are truly heaven bound we need to delight in His Sabbath because heaven is a place of God's perfect rest and we love his rest now how much more delightful will it be for a thousand years...

Did Christ sin?

Christ who lives in us did NO sin which means He has the glory because sin = fall short
So in order to keep God's perfect, sinless law, you need to have the faith of Christ. Jesus lived by faith.

Something is off here. The word Armageddon in Rev 16:16 is comprised of Har and megiddo not moed. Moed is from the OT. I don't get it.

Heb 4:10 "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."
This is talking of the time before sin. God finished His work before sin.
Thats why the same word rest in Heb 4:10 is the same word in "rest" in the original meaning has the same meaning in:
2Pe 2:14 "Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin;" (the word cease means rest in Heb 4)
1 Pe 4:1 " for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;"
