  • I like LeAnn music and she is trying so hard for us to fill Patsy's shoes but she is no Patsy. No one will ever be.

  • @littlejackrussell12 I highly doubt she's TRYING to be like Patsy... She emulates her style, but that's just artistic style. Two musical artists having very similar sounds is a frequent occurrence so again... I seriously doubt she's even trying. And whether or not Patsy is better is completely subjective... Patsy had one style, and she was very good at it. LeAnn is way more diverse and has a much broader range of styles... That she's equally good at.

  • WONDERFUL...... Outstanding singing! Thank you! I love Ray Charles version but this is beautiful!

  • I don`t think anbody has sang this song with the perfection that this young lady has.

  • o shit...the losing has to STOP..THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE....

  • I have always Leann's voice and her music one of the best.....

  • Give me a mint julep, a hammock on a warm summer day, and lotsa Leann Rimes music, and I'll be fine...

  • this is a great version of a great song sung beautifully by Leann

  • What a beautiful voice she has.

  • An old Ted Daffan tune. She does an excellent job on it.

  • LeAnn I;m from Hawaii, but went to Arkansas in 1992 and first heard you there. You are one of a kind, keep making people happy, never listen to detractors, they just envy you so much. God bless. ...rico

  • @Jigaboo123456 .....You sound U.K.

...My late wife and I were both from there .

    ...In Canada it's a slow Jive .

  • Leanee Rimes does some great stuff for dancing to. I must do a foxtrot to this- her version of " Ifall to pieces is brillaint for a slow fox.

    Thanks for posting.

  • First version I ever heard was by Ferlin Husky, on his album of the same name...

  • LeAnn's cover of this song ranks it in my Top Five of all-time with Patsy Cline's Sweet Dreams and Faded Love and Linda Ronstadt's Long Long Time and Blue Bayou. At age 71, I utilize YouTube to listen to these five songs, and only these five, each and every night. So, from all these decades and from among the numerous singers I've listened to, LeAnn, Patsy, and Linda are the three that still add positive touches to my life.

  • @bon1042 Actually, Ray Charles was not the original singer of the song. Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline did it long before then. I am not sure who did it first, but I am sure that it was not Ray Charles. Good version, though.

  • leann you are just amazing .

  • Great job!!! What a voice!!!! Thanks from a 73 year old fan.

  • Awesome. Best female cover of this song I have heard.

  • Incredible, what a singer she is!

  • Then try to listen to the Tennessee Ernie Ford Version....

  • This is good but I wish someone would post the original hit by Ray Charles, the original.

  • You could not have done this betterLleann than anyone could have, because I was born to lose

    Muriel xxx

  • what other classics has she remade? anyone know?

  • Great song and great performance - LeeAnn can ->!

  • This is really great, but I can't believe Ray Charles original isn't on YTube??!!

  • A beautiful version of a beautiful song! I've loved this song since I first heard it--no later than 1964. Ray Charles did a brilliant version of it. But I'd recommend checking out a good version of the original by Ted Daffan (the songwriter).

I think that Ms. Rimes--young though she is--has some notion of loss.

  • ^5 LeAnn....you belted that one out girlfriend!

  • Now she can sing ! With that soaring music and gorgeous voice, she is well worth listening to.

  • beautiful. ray charles original version is still my favorite.

  • Try the Tom Jones version!

  • I first found this song by Marty Robbions and nobody elses version came close but now I have this I can't decide who's version I like most. An outstanding mature country blues voice.

  • Wasn't Leann Rimes only 14 years old when she started ? She's got a wonderful voice...good job on this song !!

  • @CurlyHairChris Actually 'Blue' came out when she was 13. Her voice has matured a lot since then.

  • LeAnn is one of my many favoriites...love this post of her remaking a solid country classic

  • i didnt think she could sing this song .. she was great!!

  • wow what a voice .i only thought matty robbins could sing this.

  • This song was written by Ted Daffan and was a hit for him and his band (Ted Daffan and His Texans) back in the 1940s. It has been covered many times, perhaps most notably by Ray Charles, whose version charted pretty strongly in about 1963 (if memory serves me well). Ms. Rimes certainly turns in a great version here--one worthy of this fine old song.

  • nice voice Leann, you're amazing

  • who wrote this??sounds like a hank williams style.did he sing it??

  • @xsxs7 ive heard a version by johnny cash and the bouncing souls but i dont know who wrote it. the bouncing souls credit johnny cash though

  • Shes awsome! 5 billion stars, best version of this song ever IMO.

  • Remember Miracle on the BRAZOS? I feel sorry for Gaylor.

  • Baylor's new fight song.

  • oh wow... ok she has talent.. .that is something !

  • She is an amazing talent!

  • what a beautifull voice....

  • Beautiful!!!

  • great song that reno and smiley cut( bluegrass)

  • Nice Job LeAnn. I am proud of you.

    Your fan and friend-Michael

  • I wish she would get her nice butt back to country music where she started and where she belongs.

  • my goodness...i didn't think Rimes could sing this good.

  • I so agree!!!! what a song!

  • Very good film and song.Thank so much

  • My goodness - what a beautiful job Leann does with this wonderful old soulful classic. Echoes of Patsy Cline can be heard here. Leann has a fantastic voice and she sings all genres of music so well. I am so happy for all of her success as she is truly a super talented gal. The pictures here are really nice of her. Thank you Dutch for posting. - Paula
