These are very low framerates... i have a i5 750,4gb geil black dragon ram and this asus gtx 275 and i get in (for example..) crysis with everythinx maxed and 1680x1050 average in this map 59fps(minimum 31 max 82)
I got two 4870's and one 4890. First was 512 4870 which was great and just before the warranty closed, it broke. Then I got 4870 1G DK and it was all about "red led of death". Next I paid 50€ more to get 4890 and that went VPU-recover like crazy. Now I'm getting this ASUS ENGTX275 like yours. :)
After one of my 9800 GTX's frying itself at weekend had origonally ordered a BFG 285 OCX but got let down by supplier needed something fast and next day so grabbed the 1 ASUS left in stock in what seemed like the entire UK, Im glad that the other supplier let me down as popped the Asus in with my working 9800 GTX as dedicated physX have gave it a fairly hefty overclock at the expense of a few degrees and is more than matching a stock 285 for performance
well to be honest theres no reason to be a fanboy of any company. If nvidia was the only company, we would see very high prices. competition keeps the prices low. He didn't have the money? it costs the same price.....He would save money anyways, because he wouldn't have to buy a dx11 card in the future. ever thought of any of those?
perhaps it costs close to the same in America, but as i hope you can tell, he lives in Australia, as do i, where everything costs 3 times as much as America. and finding good stuff for your pc at a good price is hard unless you use aussie online stores, even then you only gain range, still same price as retail.
I got this card for $295AU from umart, on newegg the card is $229US, I will make a video about umart, it is the greatest PC parts retailer in Australia. Price was not an issue brand was, I am an ASUS man, toughest damn cards around(in my opinion).
nice thanks for that, I've been using mtechcomputers online store, umart seems to be good, I'll place my next few orders from them to test em out. glad there are more online stores based here in Australia then i thought.
Game developers still haven't adopted DX10 properly yet and that's been out for ages. We still have ALONG way before DX11 titles will be coming out, I this card is the best card ASUS has out, I only buy ASUS cards there tough sons of bitches.
Nice card aussie! But you should try to make space to move it to the first slot becuase the second slot is likely to be 8x when the first slot is 16x.
Crysis: very high, getting perfect head shots, not in this video cause there is framerate drop while recording with fraps, but Crysis on very high just looks stunning, I mean I have seen it before but to play it on very high is a another story.
whick graphic card is better gtx 550ti or gtx 460?

hoorah, about fucking time haha. Good value for money? Easily overclockable?
marksapollo 2 years ago
you can get an hd 5850 for around the same price, and it performs 150% better. the 5850 also supports dx11.
RobsRigg 2 years ago
perhaps he didn't have the money, and perhaps he likes Nvidia, thought of that?
grayfox106 2 years ago
that's exactly what I thought? woppdedoo you can get the 5850.
Asus 5850 is £205, Asus ENGTX 275 is £170, so in my country that's a £35 difference, still enough to make your wallet happy IMO.

so even if the card was dx10, its still much faster, and about the same price

Nice GPU aussie. Too bad I only have GTX260 but that's good enough for me. How much did it cost you anyways?

Yeah there pretty monster cards like most Nvidia products to be fair, but i feel that ATI(amd) have got the edge, might be wrong but thats how i feel
Skutz0r 2 years ago
But isn't the second slot the 8x slot? So it would be half the speed of the first, which is 16x
grayfox106 2 years ago
You are right. He should move it to the first slot and see how it runs.
