  • Ian Hunter was one of the few artists that kept Rock and Roll going. New York Dolls reference? Oh, how bow't Mick Ronsen? Check out who he played with. Underated, just listen to Ziggy Stardust and the , well you should know the rest.

  • Mick Ronson. David Bowie, check that out. Great player

  • this makes me shiver, EVERY time I hear it, and it's been often

  • @kinmikey ye does the same to me,great innit

  • This song is about the "punk" movement in the late 70's early 80's. This album, "Your Never Alone with a Schizophrenic" is AWESOME! Everything an album should be, edgy, though provoking and great music!

  • i love the live album of this piece, pls post if you do have.....

  • I used to play this song with the headphones turned all the way UP so I could hear those voices harmonizing - I still get the same chills all of these years later...THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!

  • Ian Hunter's lyrics always amaze me .....what a gift.

  • saw them with the kinks in the 80's ...great one two punch....miss those days

  • I've seen hundreds of bands- saw Ian Hunter at the Astoria in London in late 80's/early 90's- and it still remains one of the mist outstanding gigs of my life! When he did this track, after about 2mins, I realised my mouth had been gaping open in awe for all that time! lol

  • Great song. Great lyrics. Great vocal performance. Ian Hunter is a genuine rock 'n roll star.

  • class...this fella has lived the rock n roll roller coaster life. ..ty, much luv n such :-)

  • You're standing in my light, that is.

  • This song is my anthem to all the a-holes in my "Light"

  • a little less ego, a little more fight...

  • One of the best songs ever from ian Hunter. I was a big fan of him back in his Mott The Hoople days. I just heard this for the first time a few months ago and have no idea what album it comes from. Anybody out there know?

  • @westpalmscott you're never alone with a schizophrenic

  • I saw him, on this tour, while with, a couple of tall dates... @ the Santa Monica Civic... they were standing in my light !

  • @westpalmscott the live version from "Welcome to the Club" is just as awesome too. This is from his "You're Never Alone with a Schizophrenic" which also includes the original version of "Cleveland Rocks" and "Ships" which was later covered by Barry Manilow of all people.

  • @mus1cat Recently just started listening to Ian again. One of the best ballad writers I can think of

  • @westpalmscott One of my all time favorite songs is his "Irene Wilde". I put that in my top 5 of all time.

The man is turning 71 years young this year. God Bless him.

Ballad writer but also a true rocker. His live "Cleveland Rocks" is even rockier than the original studio recording.

  • @westpalmscott It`s from "You`re never alone with a schizofrenic".

  • Cool thanks for the upload!

  • this was Ian,s best one by far.

  • pure genius and on of the best songs ever

  • one of the best songs ever written in my opinion

  • get your lighters out Bloody fantastic song

  • You aint got the weight to hate!! Love it \m/
