HEy dude can u plss make a vid how to overclock the E8400 on gigabyte mobo plssssss :D i will subcribe and rate plsss its becuse i dont know how to overclock the E8400 on gigabyte mobo
well the resolution looks kinda crappy. but mainly performance on high i have a bit of lag even when overclocked. but i tried it on a standard flat screen pc monitor and it performs smooth as hell. any idea's will going hdmi help? o and the 32" does 1080i with xbox 360
Going to HDMI will not help with any of your performance issues. It may (MAY) improve the image quality. What resolution are you running the 32" at and what resolution are you running the monitor at?
Really the E8400 doesn't need to be overclocked in this setup. The 9600GT isn't fast enough to be bottlenecked by a CPU at 3GHz. On High, expect around 25-30 FPS (If I've remembered right).
i ve played crysis well at an resolution of 1440*900 every thing on ultra high: gigabyte geforce 9600gt 512mb gddr3 overclocked it my self from core clock 720mhz to 786mhz sharter clock 1945mhz it was 1800mhz and same memory speed 2016 datarate. amd phenom x3 triple core processor 8450.
Nice, I'm going to purchase a HD 4850 soon for myself. I'm still on an E4600 though, but with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro I can get it to over 3GHz.
Nah, he didn't want much gaming power. Mostly he needed it for watching Blu-Ray movies and other media stuff (ripping, editing). We got the 9600GT because it has an SP-DIF connector so you can get sound through a HDMI cable via a DVI-HDMI adapter.
The only real reason to get a quad in MY opinion is for media editing programs that use them, and for show. Crysis is one of the few games that actually uses more than one core, and it can only use two.
Yeah i heard about that, I am pretty sure you can get it up to 4.4ghz without water cooling it, though unfortunately there was no time to go and buy a better fan.
wth? its not overclocked, those are the stock settings
andyli916 2 years ago
It was at 3.5GHz. The E8400 runs at 3GHz stock, my friend.
arbpotatoes 2 years ago
I mean the 9600GT, its at Stock Settings..
andyli916 2 years ago
I'm fairly sure it's overclocked. Perhaps you're comparing it to a factory overclocked version?
arbpotatoes 2 years ago
That is overclocked dude... i have an e8400 myself and stock settings are 3.00ghz...
yarazar 2 years ago
@andyli916 Not to mention you just abbreviated what the hell....which is the most retarded thing i've ever seen.

doogle2468 3 years ago
What kind of problems are you having?
arbpotatoes 3 years ago
amd phenom quad 64 2.55ghz
2 9800gt's
8gb ram (but on 32bit)
well the resolution looks kinda crappy. but mainly performance on high i have a bit of lag even when overclocked. but i tried it on a standard flat screen pc monitor and it performs smooth as hell. any idea's will going hdmi help? o and the 32" does 1080i with xbox 360

arbpotatoes 3 years ago
tip get 64-bit vista then you can use 8gb rams and your 64-bit cpu :D its rly just a fps investment :P
Leoooonard 3 years ago
Tip: Don't get 8GB of RAM. Waste of money, 4GB is fine for anything right now.

i got that setup but mine isent clockt so how good will i run crysis?

if you have an e4600 why does the title state that you're using an e8400?

If you read the description, you would see that this system was not for me. :)

The 9600GT is the best thing for gamers who can't afford to pay out of the nose for good quailty gaming
CriticalIdiot 3 years ago 7
exactly !!
TheOnlyDuST 3 years ago
The 9600 is a better buy, the difference between it and the 8800gt is minimal, and the 8800gt is like 40$ more

I'm making almost an identical PC, but with an asus p45 board, 4gb of ram and a 640gb western digital HD.

and had he ever heard of a 3870, i mean come on that the EXACT same reason i got my 3870.
qwertymac93 3 years ago
u must be good at overclocking..your customer must have been stupid to want u to overclock a 9600gt though
stfgParadox 3 years ago
why is that a stupid request? 9600GTs are great overclockers.
some of the highest overclocks i've seen have reached a GPU Core 800+ Mhz and Memory 1100Mhz
a boost of almost or about 1000pts in 3DMark06
jayzninvazn 3 years ago 3
mind you that's from stock GPU:650 memory:900

um, because thhe 9600gt is slow to begin with...

hows that PSU doing ? i heard it bad im getting same PSU .. with 8800gt graphics card will it run good?
serb4life93 3 years ago
Yeah, it's a good PSU. It'll handle the 8800GT no problems.
arbpotatoes 3 years ago
is an E8400 really better than a quad? I heard it was
MaxiMachine 3 years ago
Its not better benchmark wise, but gamewise, the 1333FSB helps out a lot.
