Junior officers generally got treated with disrespect in Nam', Michael Dudikoff made an excellent Second Lieutenant that finally gets the respect from his men he deserves. I loved seeing him stand up to Basera (sp?). 0:18 - 0:42 So badass.

Especially in a war like Vietnam i think it was sort of a day to day routine of soldiers smoking pot etc.

@Godzilla3601 good point...but helmets do have the possibility of deflecting the bullet and it shields the users head from small bits of shrapnel, etc...there are many survior accounts where helmets have actually saved their lives

@Homie2576 ... I think the Sgt. Mac shot him not to be dishonored by addicted or may not report that he died by overdose .. I think that Mac thought it to be honored as a hero who died in combat and the integrity of the pack care and the unit is questioned.
