On the other hand... I could see why someone might get confused. This is Nessay, but at the beginning of the song, and some places throughout, her timbre sounds sightly darker and a little "fuller" than the bright, bell-like tones that I'm used to hearing from Dessay
Now that I think about it... I don't know if this is Dessay at all... there's just too much body in throughout some of her range. Not that Dessay has a weak voice, but I'd classify her voice as a bell-like, "pure" coloratura soprano, while others, like Sumi-jo, lean towards a slightly fuller lyric-coloratura soprano.
@jtg10795 You are adorable.. nothing awkward about you!! ..~ embellish away Dessay!!!! Brava! ( ps.. I have a Ph.d in awkward,,, so no worries. jtg10795....)
@jtg10795 I truly understood what you meant.. I thought your comment was hysterical....It's is difficult at times when one is writing comments on YT for others to understand what you are intending.. ....(as I awkwardly answer you immediately). LOL.. Blessings.....

As for your question, at least the third part of it, search youtube for RG - Aria for Rachele Gilmore's amazing Met debut. Completely worth it, especially for the reaction of the fellow cast members as she hits several Gs and an Ab :)
@regulargonzalez o haha, yea i was saying that to someone as a rhetorical questions when they said that this wasn't her. No i think it's great and very impressive when people add in ornamentals. Ok i'll check out that video
