@916chris916 That gun seemed to be a ZiS 3 76.2mm gun - due to the barrel, muzzle brake and the shell used seems to be BR-350 (not fully sure) - but the tank might have been also a Panzer IV tank due to the cupola. The ZiS 3 - whilst a good field gun it would have struggled frontally against the Tiger I and Panther tank with the BR-350 rounds - unless it was a side shot at an angle of 60 degrees to the vertical.

I wasn't so sure about the guns - because after all the Panzer III is really a smaller version of the Panzer IV with some differences still. Its amazing how the Panzer I evloved to the Tiger I (Tiger I really was a Panzer IV with a bigger gun, thicker armor and better engine/transmission)
The gun is a Soviet dula purpose 76.2 mm which was an excellent gun. Captured examples were used by the Germans and mounted on different chassis as self propelled A.T. gun.

The ZiS 3 was potent, accurate and fairly mobile as a gun - batteries were 4 guns usually and in support fire it would have been excellent. However against a Tiger I, Panther or Bengal Tiger this could be only achieved by a side-shot at a certain angle.

Die meisten Paks haben den Feind kommen lassen, abgewartet. Sog schweige Geschütze. Dazu baut man die Pak nicht in der ersten Linie ein. Sondern 300 Meter hinter der Front. Vermutlich wollte da jemand den Soldaten muht machen. Aber mal ein Video wo die deutschen keine Vollidioten sind.

These "soldiers" look 100% like they're on a movie sent, not at war. So this basically never happened given the suggested time of the battle ('43 or later). Whoever said the Tiger I is "almost" a PzIV really needs to check his sources... or more. Zis-3 was an excellent general-purpose artillery piece, especially thanks to its produceability (>100k).

@916chris916 That gun seemed to be a ZiS 3 76.2mm gun - due to the barrel, muzzle brake and the shell used seems to be BR-350 (not fully sure) - but the tank might have been also a Panzer IV tank due to the cupola. The ZiS 3 - whilst a good field gun it would have struggled frontally against the Tiger I and Panther tank with the BR-350 rounds - unless it was a side shot at an angle of 60 degrees to the vertical.

@hyneczek Oh yes - insightful of you :) I forgot the Panzer III still saw some service by up till 1943 when the Panzer IV Ausf G was available in numbers by then to completely replace the tank. I wasn't so sure about the guns - because after all the Panzer III is really a smaller version of the Panzer IV with some differences still. Its amazing how the Panzer I evloved to the Tiger I (Tiger I really was a Panzer IV with a bigger gun, thicker armor and better engine/transmission)

The gun is a Soviet dula purpose 76.2 mm which was an excellent gun. Captured examples were used by the Germans and mounted on different chassis as self propelled A.T. gun.

@scottduncan44 The Soviet soldiers indeed liked the ZiS 3 over other heavier field guns but also due to its superiority over lighter field guns - though the ZiS 2 had a better AP performance but sacrificed HE for more AP. The ZiS 3 was potent, accurate and fairly mobile as a gun - batteries were 4 guns usually and in support fire it would have been excellent. However against a Tiger I, Panther or Bengal Tiger this could be only achieved by a side-shot at a certain angle.
