In many states you need to register 12 weeks in advance. If Ron Paul doesn't win the GOP primary--there is no chance to vote for him in the general.

Honestly it isn't a bad plan, but it will step on people's toes. Also, he's a biggg underdog. I like his thoughts, and his stand for our rights. I love his stand on the Constitution. Ron Paul did not predict the financial crisis. He said low interest rates and the GSE's are inflating residential real estate prices. That was a small part of the financial crisis. He said nothing about Wall Street's CDO's, AIG's credit default swaps, corrupt rating agencies, too big to fail and inadequate capital requirements. He never said a critical word about the shadow banking system.
