One of the best moments in the Beck. Beck is one of the best anime ever created, it's on the same level as best Studio Ghibli animes and on the same level as Great Teacher Onizuka. :)

@elykuur Dude iam not sure theres going to be a second season not that i would know, it 's just Beck was made more than 4 years ago, and i havent seen a second season of it in any of the anime sites i have been on, but i guess theres a chance that i just havent found it yet, and i really hope theres a more seasons to it, the anime still has tons more of potential left in it, I love that anime, one of the best anime there is.

If the songs had been translated then this argument wouldn't apply, but English lyrics sung in an accent which struggles to get around the basic pronunciation shouldn't really take preference. I'm not dissing, I just think it's only natural to prefer the American version, and I think it is very tentative to say that the Jap version sounds more genuine because when the words are misshaped like that, it's hard to determine any artistic impression from them at all.

I would definitely agree that Greg Ayres doesn't have nearly as much singing talent! I find subtle differences in the way the lyrics are expressed can really give meaning so I listen closely, however I always have to listen to the original with half an ear because I'm embarrased for the poor articulation. For that reason I really wish it had been in Japanese.
