If she were coming up now as a young artist, she'd be a super star in short order, but as it was, her blues style was not mainstream style singing in the 50's, didn't have the large audience like it has today. Even now, if it weren't for Jaguar commercials playing her At Last song, she would probably still be obscure. Thank God for Jaguar because she made a couple of fantastic albums after that.

For me, her singing the standard ballads is out of this world beautiful, she is the greatest.

This never really was what you'd call a "Big Band tune" If I'm not mistaken this was written and performed by Fats Waller. If you haven't heard it , you should.

Etta sung this song the best!! She sung it with power where I would listen to this all day long. Do anyone know where I can find this song with her sanging?? If you listen to Ella, Billie and the other sang it, they didn't give it justice like she did!!

Most of the songs she sangs sound just alike. It's almost sounds like "Trust In Me" towards the end. This is a good song and she sung it well. But with all due respect, I purchase 1 of Etta's albums with her main songs on it but it was not good. Her singing wasn't there @ all on this album. She's dressed in a white/grayish dress with a diamond necklace on and her hair looks like it's in waves. I don't know the title. Dont get me wrong,I do love Etta but some of her albums are not satisfaction

What do you mean did she record this version? You just heard it on the Make Believe Ballroom in the 50's; I never knew the jock's name but he played recordings not live, and a lot of Sinatra. Brings tears to my eyes as I recall her At Last song then shortly after a couple of screaming jumping gospel type blues songs and she was gone from mainstream. She shoulda been a contender like Dinah Washington. Her style was and is unique and very moving.
