Hey, I'm a fan of JO.. love her voice but I don't much care for her version of this great song.. it's much too up-tempo for what is essentially a very sad love-song. Mind you, Adele wrecked it completely so this ain't that bad, just don't like the arrangement much. I do reckon that it's more of a man's song in fact, Garth Brooks version is still by far my fave, you can feel the pain in his delivery.. Anyway that's just my opinion.. thanks for the upload.. still love JO she's great! Px :))
i know this is annoying but i just started my youtube channel and i was hoping some of you might be interested in checking out my new cover, heres the link please stop by!!!!!
Amazing song. Best version is Joan Osborne live at Sausalito (on Youtube). She just gets right into the groove, which doesn't quite happen on this studio version. More feeling than Adelle, and ultimately more enjoyable
Dylan must have banked a fortune out of this one--check out spotify for other versions.
I just listened to this song again. I guess that hope really does float. The movie Hope Floats was filmed in Smithville, Tx which is not that far from me.
What a beautiful Dylan song that I'd never heard of before. Thanks L for this marvelous Joan Osborne rendition. I really enjoyed it:) Have a good week!!
Thank you Rita...I hope you're having a great week, been busy here...a snow storm is heading my way tonight into tomorrow...5-6 inches...I'll build you a snowman and send it your way! Glad you enjoyed this one! John :)
A beautiful song and she is quite prett y too! I love the Rolling Stone cover with the "god, sex, and the blues" comment hahaha. Obviously she's pretty badass!
Hi...thanks for commenting...glad you liked this version too...and I'm glad you said something about Bob Dylan...I forgot to put that in the description...thanks! :)
Joan Osborne is better than that over-hyped "hot" new artist who is getting so much attention.
