DOW 2 is so much better than the origional. The graphics are crazy, as well as the new marines are amazing! In case you would like that game for free, you can certainly dl the complete video game over at DOW2DownloadXcom (replace X with . ). When i did, and it worked perfectly!

@theBasho Starcraft came before the strategy games you compare it to. Please, think for a moment about how stupid is it to say that an older game definitely ripped off a newer game's even older universe. You see? What you said made no sense :) Besides, many concepts were around before that both games have "ripped off", by following your logic. There are overlaps that are not neccessarily because Blizzard, as you said, "ripped off" Warhammer.

No, techicly there are only 2 races in Soulstorm, you need Dawn of War, Winter Assault and Dark Crusade to get all 9. However, in the first DoW, there was also only 4. And Relic will sertainly add more. Soo if they add all races that were in the first DoW's, then DoW2 will have one more race (REAL Tyranids, not some crappy mod)

I think the first Dow kiks this games ass, this game has tried to turn it into a first person shooter/ strategy and it has not worked.

I also noticed that everyone is annoyed that aoe3 isn't different enough from it's predessesors (sp) but dow2 isn't close enough to Dow so it has gne way down on the popularity scale. - bad gamble relic!!!

I got this game yesterday and I had to make a steam account. when I try to play this game it says it not available. when it is avaiible it says it has to update. I check how long the update has untill it is done and it says 25hr. and 59min. why is my update going so slow. please help

Its actually Tyranids= Zergs since Warhammer has been around far longer than starcraft... starcraft took the idea from warhammer so dont get fooled.

Yeah, but Starcraft is the first to make the game about those aliens and even though they copied it (Or not) while Warhammer is sitting like an idiot on tabletops they noticed how Starcraft has gained and maybe got jealous and made dawn of war, lots of games are copied remember that.

I know several. Even you must know the first Alien movie.

Starcraft is a game so it cannot "take" ideas. :P

And don't forget that it's the UNIVERSE that was created before SC - the real time strategy games you keep comparing were first made by Blizzard. At least I'd say that they have both borrowed ideas from each other over the time, and it would be great if you'd just enjoy what you have.

@Savci008 actully ieve heard that gamesworckshop where originally working on starcraft and that it was going to be based around 40K but they decided to piss of so blizzard did some retextureing and renameing and other crap, so my piont being they didn't really ripp of warhammer but the similarities arent an accident. im a warhammer man at heart though the zerg are cool they onley infest worlds the great devourerer leaves them dead in there wake. PRAISE THE GREAT DEVOURER

@ageofhammerfall I didn't have the chance to play the first warhammer game, but God is my witness that you didn't do either, so you should just keep your agressive comments to yourselves, both developer groups would be ashamed. Even the ones creating both universes would be ashamed at how low you get and how blind you are, comparing two games' elements which were present even before them.

So I don't get this, what races can you play on if you only have Soulstorm? If you have the other expansion packs like Winter Assault and Dark Crusade, what will it get you for this game? Also, same question for Dawn of War 2

unfortinately, you can only play as the eldar,orks,nids,and space marines. the expansion packs for dawn of war have nothing to do with this game.
