Looks like three balloons tied together, the knot is slowly unraveling as they ascend causing them to become more and more separated until the bottom one frees itself. Three balloons surrounded by single balloons. At no point in the video do they come back together.

it's a balloon, they are were most likely held by strings, the higher the altitude the greater the speed of the wind will be causing the strings to be ripped.
