  • One of the greatest songs of all-time. I remember playing this on a portable 45 record player on summer nights in Houston in my brother's 1958 Mercury. Awesome memories.

  • one of my hobbies is karoke. let me tell you when i do this awesome love song the girls just melt..its like fishing with dynomite. THANKS JERRY. FOR EVERYTHING!!!

  • Back in the day! I was 15, he was 18. After all these years, I still look at him sometimes and have to remind myself..., girl, breathe!

  • @truth1dis.......stfu DOGG!!!!!!!!!!....lol.....

  • GOLD.............period.

  • Then we appreciated our women, they were not what the (females) call themselves today b....s, (males) were not what they call themselves today-dogs. We respected the young ladies and women of yesteryear, because for one they made us wonder what was under their clothes. What I mean is cleavage and breasts showing (hell no), tight (yeast infection) pants (ladies were not sluts then),too kiss a woman and slow dance (grind) was the closest thing to sex.To lay down and roll on a girl was my ecstasy.

  • @truth1disciple You are correct! Value, morals, ethics, today! What are those things? We have truly lost our way. Our children are contaminated by tv, commercials, movies that they permit 13yrs old children to view, rating it PG-13, when it should be R-rated. We are in trouble. Parents who are old school and actually care, are considered over protective. Women who are as you described are an accepted embarassment. So sad! I miss this era too!

  • besides playin this song in da back ground while talkin to a female late at night, i remember da guys in my family coming over every weekend to to play cards, drink their beer, and jam to some oldies............much love to da men in my family that have passed.......

  • How can we have sunk so low after a time in which music like this was not all that unusual??? Now we have Ludacris "singing" his great song...."Move, bitch, get outta the way" To those who say you were born in the "wrong" time, don not despair: great music like this is available and awaiting your discovery!! Get to it!! You will be rewarded beyond the greatest possible expectatiions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DavesCarWash You are so right ! What happened ????? How could we possibly be accepting of today's music when we were exposed to REAL singing and music ! Hearing this kind of music takes you way back to a more simple time. When did we get to the point where vulgarity in music was acceptable and the degrading of women was ok ? Folks could SANG back in the day ! The music had real meaning !
