I am thinking about getting lapband surgery,but i am not sure if I qualify. I am 5"3' and I weigh about 240. From what I have seen lapband is much safer than gastric bypass. Congrats to everyone that has lost weight from this surgery!

@whinsong I have an appointment to visit a doctor on the 29th, my uncle said this process can take a few months before I can even get the surgery,but from what I have seen it is worth it, you look great and I will definitely keep you updated =)

@jessicalynnm88 - if your bmi is over 42 (i think) you can qualify. i am undergoing the pre-op stuff now and should have my surgery this fall. i am 5'5" and my beginning weight was 308 and my bmi was 51. i have lost some on my own per my insurance companies requirements but am ready to do the surgery for even more help
