  • IF I HAD MONEY , I TELL YOU WHAT I´LL DO!

  • Drums are good the rest are lagging .. no dynamite man!

  • I like steve millers version of this too, very blusey. as for the great Wishbone Ash. I am afraid I will always be partial the Powel,Turner, turner,Upton line up. but hey, that was the line up the first 10 or so times I saw them, I may be the least bit prejudiced to that time of my life.

  • David Lindley's version is much better.

  • its really naff

dont tell me otherwise oomkontol bumlick

  • How do you know I lick female bum?

You can have your opinion.. respect..

    male bumlicker!

  • Guys... please check David Lindley's version. He's the meanest slidecat around. Talking raw power!

  • I like this rendition but have you heard Dave Edmunds' version? IMHO DE's is the best.

  • Do you, by chance, mean David Lindley's (1981 - from "El Rayo X")? If not, what album did Edmunds put it on? Would love to hear his, as he kicks ass on guitar, too!

  • Not sure of the Dave Edmunds album but the first time I heard DE's version of this song was on an episode of the TV series "Miami Vice" the one where a race car driver's father murders attractive women.

I like David Lindley's version too.

The best place to find Dave Edmunds' version would be via Google or a file sharing site. And your'e right - he kicks ass!

  • Great

  • true live i love good ash all good good fun

  • this song was originally done by KC Douglas but no one can combine a blues/rock version of this song like Steve Miller. he is a god

  • Yeah but imagine if Steve Miller was to play this song using a '52 telecaster through a 1978 Mesa Boogie 30w amp now that really WOULD be awesome. Funny how there's always somewthing that is more awesome than something else.

  • the bass player locks like a dick weres bob

  • Bob had serious private business. Ako is a wonderful person..

  • mercury blues is an old bluessong

  • Been an Ashfan for 36 years and I'd never heard this track. Where was the gig?

  • What type of band is Wishbone Ash? "Mercury Blues" is definately a country song. . .that's why I'm wondering.

  • It's definitely not a countryband. Twin lead guitarrockband? Guess that would be more like it.

  • I knew they weren't country (or at least didn't sound it). Okay, that works for me.

  • Steve Miller did it years ago

  • aaah I knew I recognised him from somewhere :)

  • Isn't he one of the guitarists from MT's Wishbone Ash?

  • Nope, he used to play with Ben G..

  • Whos the dude on bass???

  • That bassplayer is master Ako Kiisky, who stepped in for Bob. Without rehearsing and studying by ear and musicsheats he toured with the band for short while. This is some bassplayer!!
