Alot of people confuse Norther and COB because they're similar sounding Finnish metal bands...but if you listen to alot of Finnish metal, then you would hear the differences between them: Petri Lindroos =/= Alexi Laiho, period. They're two different people in two very different bands.
but i can't really blame your friend since i thought that this cover was Bodom too-- but that was a long time ago, when i first started getting into their music...but after i started listening to alot of COB, Ensiferum, Norther, Wintersun, etc. etc., i was able to distinguish between them /m/

the song is part bodom, it has alexi lahoe (sp) in it, but its northers cover of the final countdown (originally done by europe)
