That's the thing really. You can't have any stereotype on americans because they are such a mix of different cultures and people. And I think that's a good thing! I just have the picture that the middle school education isn't that good. BUT I really like the university system where you can play sports at the school while you're studying there. I'm going to apply for a sports scholarship myself and see this great country. And by the way - intelligence and educated is two waaay different things!

And I am both swedish and finnish. the finnish school system suck in many ways, but it is highly appreciated in a lot of countries, whilst the swedish system could need a lot of improvement. What kind of system do they have in Australia? I like the college/university system in the States, but the middle schools could use some improvement...

mmm true. I agree that Swedens system could be greatly improved. Australia is pretty much the same as the states. Primary school 1-7, Middle school 8-10, Senior 11-12 and university. There are heaps of kids here though that drop out in year 10 so the senior classes are pretty small in all the schools ive been to.
