Okay so... Basically this is how the " Cold " family learns about super sayjins by Bardock defeating Glacier. " Tell my family about the sayjin race... The one who's hair glows yellow, and has extremely high power...! " So, basically, through-out history, generations and generations of colds " King Cold, Frieza, Cooler, Etc " Were cold of the legendary super sayjin as Myth. Bardock WAS the first super sayjin, hence making it " Legend " Broly, was the first ascended legendary super sayjin.

Notice the electricity around Bardock, doesn't make that him a SSJ 2? In the original movies, Bardock spoke to Goku from death, not long after the destruction of the planet. Also is headband could be seen floating in space.

How come only Frieza knew about the legend. Neither Cooler or King Cold ever saw or heard about a Super Saiyan until they heard the tale from a ravaged freeza or encountered one. Just look at the Trunks saga for example.Therefore I don't believe Bardock is the original SSJ.

@LifeOfAnOutlaw They knew about it but thought it was a myth. The Cold family kept the vendetta going but largely forgot the reasons for it and the warning associated with Glacier's death. What they knew is their race was challenged by a golden haired creature known as a saiyan. They thought everything else was fiction. Frieza being more or less familiar w the day to day actions of the saiyan people realized the story wasn't all myth hence why he blew planet Vageta up.

Damn you guys make good points. But to be honest the episode does fit correctly. Bardock is the legendary super saiyan that was talked about through history. Even though the episode was weak it filled in missing info. We found out what happened to bardock. Why you can't see him in the after life. And how frieza got the information about the saiyans. Bardock could have beaten frieza if he lived long enough but supposedly he died of old age. So this episode was pretty cool to watch as a fan it fi

@88tedyp It says it multiple times that he had been sent back in time. The guy Bardock is fighting is the space pirate Chilled, one of Freeza's ancestors. When Chilled is about to die he says "Tell my family beware of the Saiyan that can turn blonde." It says it like 20 times in the episode that Bardock had been sent back in time.

There is a big mistake in SSJ1 Bardock's transformation... the tail didn't get transformed.

1. He wasn't strong enough. Super saiyan is a multiplier, so he could've still been weaker then Frieza's first form.

2. He couldn't find a way back.

@newyoikmabsta Bardok going back in time and becaming ssj crappy story plot that messed up with db story too much. At least the androinds 13-14 and 15 used a time machine to go back in time and fight goku this episode plot is crap plus the fight between Chilled and Bardock was one of the worst fights i have seen so far the only good thing from all of this was the part were bardock goes to ssj all the other part is crap.
