Yep, those are real tears. In Heart, Jared thought about having to put down his dogs and that's why he got so upset. Seeing Jared get so upset got Jensen upset. It took Jared a long time to calm down after they did that scene that day. However now, they're so into character, they know how their character would feel or react in a situation, so their bodies react to the moment and they just start crying. That's what both Jensen and Jared have said a couple of times at conventions and such.

Great video! I read somewhere that in the beginning, Jensen and Jared would try and use their own experiences to act out a part, like in Heart, Jared when acting out having to kill Madison was thinking about having to put down his dog. Apparently he got so upset, that Jensen was getting upset too, and it took Jared a while to calm down after the scene.  In the interview, they said now they can just understand how their character would feel to act out the emotional scenes. I love the actors.

I'm a 22 year old man, and as soon as the part about the dad being a "slave to his job" came up I started bawling my eyes out for no damn reason. I've heard this song before but I think its the superb acting in this vid that killed me....
