i hope somebody is gonna write me something.i`m really undecided about which camcorder i should buy.actually it seems xh a1 is good enough for me to make some films.but when we compare the xh a1 with sony hvr z7u or panasonic ag hvx 200 i really can`t decide which one is better.and also i`ll use letus extreme 35mm adapter too.i like xh a1 but it`s lens is not interchngable.lately i decided on xh a1 but now there is another thing.xh a1 or xh a1s what is the difference and which one is better.plse

XH A1s has a new strip of ports where (on the XH G1(s)) the SDI and Timecode would be. I'd go for the A1 just cause of low light capabilities. Using a Letus works perfectly with it so you don't need interchangeable lenses and that'll save you money in the future.

The HVX200 is going to be the best. but I for the price the XH-A1 is awesome. I have one and its Great! I'm just about to buy the sgBLADE for it this week too... So it Will make it even better!
- o and the xh-a1s is just the new model for it. the xh-a1 is just discontinued.

For the money-sink you have to put in an HVX, it's not worth it. The Canon really trumps it by far. Besides, why buy an HD camera with inferior resolution? ;) Stick to Canon.

i'm undecided too about those camcorders!!!
but i know this: i think xha1 has stoped by canon, go to the official canon website, there is not xha1 only xha1S
xha1s is better than xha1, they just fixed some issues from xha1 and the fixed one called it xha1
i didnt know about sony hvr z7u, i'm gonna search and see...

you cant buy the XH A1 anymore because the XH A1S replaced it. unless you want to buy a used one. If you want to see what XH A1 can do take a look at this youtube prfofile 22andrew22 his videos are amazing!

I know this is coming late, but the Sony's have a whip pan problem. The picture goes horizontal.
