  • You go Miss Bonnie Jo Mason...

  • best.......song.......ever!

  • never heard this song before, what a find!

  • never heard this song before, what a find!

  • Ok just to inform i want to say that Cher's favorite was actually Paul- she said she had a crush on him because he was cute. forgot where i read it but its what she said :)

  • This is officially my new theme song.

  • Imma ringo fan

    I LOVE RINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • we'll have to celebrate when this recording is 50 years old:-)

    Happy birthday Cherilyn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well, she did marry a guy who looked a bit like Ringo! LOL☺

  • @WytZox1 She did!

  • Ringo sort of looks like Sonny... and Ringo's fist wife Maureen sort of looked like Cher...

And I love them all <3

  • I wonder if she actually got to meet him.

  • I Thot it was a dude at first especially the Beatles no idea y but I did

  • Hahaha I read that some people thought that it was a man singing this when it first came out...AWKWARD!

  • If I was Ringo, I'd be a tad creeped:) But in a flattering sort of way...

Eh, everyones saying therir favorite Beatle so heres mine:

All of them. All for different reasons you know? They're all so different, and they all fit together perfectly. I can't pick a favorite simply because they all had some awesome quality. John for his wit of course. Ringo because hes a sweetie(Well ive heard he was sweet,) Paul, his amazing voice. and George because well, he had a sexy voice, and he played well:)

  • RINGO I FUCKING LOVE YOU TOO~

  • Haha cute! I love Ringo too!

  • This is my anthem! :))

  • This just made my life better. Ringo, I love you1!! <3

  • Explains why she went for Sonny. The Ringo look....

  • I wonder where did she come up with the pseudonym of "Bonnie Jo Mason" when she recorded this record?

  • @christheone8773 Phil Spector himself came up with it, at that time he thought every recording artist needed an American name. Cherilyn(or Cheryl like on her birth certificate) Sarkasian LaPierre just didn't make it. =)

  • @ShatteredRoses11 who'd have thought that ol' Bonnie Jo Mason would grow up to be one of the world's top superstars-

  • I could hear parts of "She Loves You", "I Want to Hold Your Hand", "This Boy" & "Please Please Me". But maybe they were all mixed together well enough to avoid plagiarism.

  • I don't know why but, Sonny reminds me of Ringo and Cher reminds me of Ringo's frist wife, Maureen.

  • Wooooooooooooooooooow, ecstasy

  • @Boodidiscareyou22 I don't think alot hated Ringo,he was loved by many and has alot of fans and received alot of fan mail.

  • @1979cl1 actually ringo was the most popular beatle originally in the united states. he recieved tons more fan mail then the others.

  • @TheBabyboomkidof53 That's right,, Ringo is cool!!!

  • I just loved the way Cher looked back then! I had long straight blonde hair with bangs but I wanted to dye it black like Cher's! And have brown eyes instead of blue.

  • @Boodidiscareyou22 Who hates Ringo? I'm gonna kick his ass

  • @TetrisShock Get off!!

  • buena canción de cher

  • Oh no! What will Sonny think !!?!?!

  • Comment removed

  • Funny.... she picked the Beatle that looked the most like Sonny! heh heh

  • Interesting. Thanks.

  • back of Cher, he's mine!

  • do you have cher from the cher show singing a solo number:

"if you could read my mind?"

    yes, the gordonlightfoot song....

that IS the greatest 70's cher doing "CHER"... i've ever heard......

  • killllllller. Then she dated Greg Allman & Gene Simmons

  • Useless Beatle???!!!! No...that would be Pete Best.

  • I should write a song like this. But to George. Hahah! I don't care if he's dead(: Bahahah!

  • This single was released on a Annette Records 1000 45 RPM in 1964. This was Cher's first solo. The song was indeed not sucessful. Radio stations wouldn't even play it cuz they thought Cher was a man 0_o. The song never charted, and dissapeared by 1965.

  • Why would anyone profess to be in love with the most useless Beatle?

  • @problem49 Because Ringo got the most fan mail!

  • Comment removed

  • I LOVE YOU RINGO YEAH YEAH YEAH¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ FROM MEXICO

  • It's obviously a female singing. People were RETARDED back then. Like burning Beatles CD... She says I wanna be your GIRL.

  • Like @shikiku said. This is a great version of this song and it's very rare. This is Cher's "debut" and it flopped cause she sounds like a man thus making the world think a homosexual man is confessing his love to Ringo Starr (mind you this is before Freddy Mercury, Andy Bell, etc).

  • @QueenKuehn WTF that's so funny.

  • Does anyone know the history of this song? Was it ever released? What year did Cher sing this? Any information would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!

  • @mrob75 It was released and recorded in 1964 during Beatlemania, while she was using the pseudonym Bonnie Jo Mason, because her producer at the time (Phil Spector) didn't think Cherylin la Piere was American-sounding enough. It was never played on the radio though, 'cause at the time everyone thought that her low vocals were a man singing a lovesong about Ringo.

    That's all I got. :P

  • i think "cher" looks sooooo BEAUTIFUL at the :42 second mark of this video!!! she really was a very pretty girl!!! i LOVE the way she looks!!! i can't get over how pretty she looks. i literally have the video paused and i'm looking at this picture of her and she looks GREAT!!!

  • Has Cher ever met Ringo.? I think it would be interesting if they sang a duet together.

  • *appalling

  • the song is appaling

  • this song represents me. I love ringo, and i guess the song says everything a girl dreams.

  • @HollywoodxFame

yea this is my themesong and im only 14

  • @thealiraysoosay I'm only thirteen and I love Ringo. So I have y'all beat.

RINGO GOT THE MOST FAN MAIL! :3

  • @raspberryxsmiles Thats what I just said!!!

  • I love this song! :D

  • @LedHead1997 i do not, i call it a bad copy

  • Can you tell me a site where i can download it in quality like this? Cuz if I download it with youtube sound downloader, its quality is so bad.

    Thanks!

  • TUBE TV

    free program

    google it

  • Yeah yeah yeah!

  • What did ringo Starr think about this song? Please answer

  • I love Ringo too!!! =D <3

  • LOL what an amazing song!! I think my favorite line was, "More than anything, I want to wear your ring" LOL!!

That's straight from the heart right there ;)

Cher I love you, and I think we can both agree when I say, "Ringo, I love you yeah yeah yeah!!" ^_^

  • I WANNA BE YOU GIRLL!!!!! (8) jaja me encantó

  • Wow!! this song is a grate tribute!!

  • wow cher was hot

  • I wonder what Ringo thought of this song. Ha ha ha. I'm sure he was flattered. = P

  • ringo is so sweet i think i would appreciate :)

  • @bealtespip123 Lucky Ringo had at least 2 songs "about" him, one by a woman who sounded like a man and the other by Lorne Greene! The later was supposedly about an outlaw, but the timing of its release was more than a little suspicious. Since there's nothing about the names John, Paul or George that automatically says "Beatles" , Ringo was a sitting duck for any record company trying to hitch a cheap ride on the Beatles' bandwagon.

  • @lrd9999 -- We've had 2 Popes named after 2 Beatles (John Paul I and John Paul II) ... When'll we have Pope George Ringo I?

  • @lrd9999 Cher, sound like a man? Either way she not only had more talent than Lorne Green but out-shined her and Ringo.

  • Her first song is this (Ringo, I Love You) and her last song is Love One Another.

  • cher is not a man how would you know have you seen her? Probably not shes my rolemodel the only reason y u think shes a man is because her voice is deep my mom's voice is deep but that doesnt mean shes a man it might be that cher is native american like my mother. thats why there voices are so deep there look a likes to ^_^

  • cool work as always Tyler!

  • I don't allow you to sign into metube again or say anything at all.

  • she's good, but her voice doesn't really have much range at 17. she said she actually hated this song in her bio because her voice was so deep, but it's pretty light.

  • im 14 and i love this

    go cher!!

  • This is really good, and look how nice she looks. why did she have plastic surgeries,?

  • I Love you Cher!

  • this is great! i am a 28 year old cher fan! but that being said despite my age of earth years, to be a true cher fan you must know the cher that was bonny joe mason and cleo and sonny and cher!! then you are a fan!!

  • This is amazing and gorgeous!

  • Good guitar, we know which group influenced it.

I always thought Sonny looked like Ringo sort of. We know Cher's favorite Beatle. I'm a George/Paul girl myself, but to each her own. (We all know George Harrison had prime hair and it was WAVY!)

  • You know what, i don't think that this is that bad, not too keen on the song words but Cher's voice isn't bad;)

  • she is amazing . . .

this is her early stuff, though

If you've never heard her stuff from much later, you should check it out! It's really amazing. ^__^

  • Aww come on cory256 people just wannabe helpful. when it comes to cher people shouldnt argue. i love cher !

  • haha i love cher and ringo

  • perfect!

  • at 1st everyone thought this was a man singing back in the 60s and people thought it was werid to hear a man sing a song about another man hahah they did not know cher had a deep voice

  • In March this year we celebrate the 45th anniversairy of Cher in showbusiness. And this was the very first song of Cher, that started it all. It was recorded in March 1964, at age 17. It left without a trace, but now it's a true diamond among collector's items. I love the song, no matter what.

  • luv everything of Cher!

  • Pretty clever little ditty they way they worked in a few Beatle song titles and the yeah yeah yeah

  • Great song! This song never went anywhere because the public, on hearing it, thought it was being sung by a guy. Cher was not known then and her vocals are so low. This is great. I can't imagine people thinking this could be a guy!

  • Gotta love those Sixties photos of CHER...

  • Thanks beatlehop for sending this to me. CHER is my girl, I love Cher!!!! 5*****'s

  • cher i wanna be your man.

  • Thank you for sending me this, Beatlehop !! I guess my hero ,Cher, loved my 1st love too--Ringo !!! Funny !!! This is awesome!!

  • I looooooove this song and vid. The pictures are so groovy because they're from the mid sixties-it's awesome :D

  • The eye makeup in that picture at 1:05 is crazy sizties!

  • Groovy! Wonder what a copy of that record sales for? Wonder how many were printed?

  • to bad it was never made it to record because they thought that she sounded like a man rude much i love this song !!!!

  • It did. It was released by a small label, under the pseudo name of Bonnie Jo Mason

  • Does Ringo Starr know this? I can hear him now saying Oh my my! lol I like the song :)

  • I like it!

Now I'm shocked this song never went anywhere. It's totally catchy.

Did Ringo ever response to this song?

  • cher i love yeah yeah yeah

  • I have never never heard this before, despite knowing its history. Thanks.

    Oh Bonnie Jo....

  • PHIL SPECTOR also produced a SONNY & CHER

song from their movie "Good Times"...called

    "It's The Little Things".

  • God knows I love Cher, but I wouldn't call Spector a genius. This is not a very original song, as anyone can tell. An obvious "tribute" or whatever to the Beatles. I think it's awkward, but sure FUN too!

  • True.Phil Spector is a genius.A murdering genius

  • OMG! I've never heard this song before! Did she really love him? holy crap. well, he's mine so to bad Cher!! haha XD whoa that's incredible

  • Really i wrote that song but Cher stole it from me!!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • I like the way it slyly employs the "Yeah Yeah Yeah" from "She Loves You."

  • I cant believe it!

  • Phil Spector is a genious.

  • A freaky, psycho, freak-o-nature genius?

  • Great video... I ask the same as BeatlesSuperstars what program did you use in this video.... It's awesome!

    XOXO

  • what program did u use in this video : )??

  • And besides...CHER was a good judge even early on...She knew Ringo was gonna be hot!

  • I know but I LOVE it because it imparts the a peppy sound and the poppy affection of fan-love. Perfection to a Promoter! :D

  • the funny thing is that she didn't even like rigo when she sung this!

and ppl thought that she was a homosexual man singing tis...she does give a beautiful feeling to this song however!

    thanks;)

  • I Was Fortunate To Acquire The 45 In Perfect Condition. It's Now In A Frame Sitting On Top Of My CHER Shirine. Yeah! I Hear It's Worth $500-$750 Just For A 45 Record. Thanks Tyler. A Pittsburgh CHER Fanatic John.

  • This is amazing and gorgeous! Words cannot describe. Believe it or not, EVERYTIME I think of Ringo Starr, I think of these CHER-vocals RINGING in my EARS :)

  • thanks for posting... i remember an interview or article and cher stated it was not a succesful song because, as her voice was so deep, people thought it was a man singing a love song to ringo starr and it was labelled a "fag song". u got the b-side to post on here?

    1000 thanks for posting!!!

  • The B side is just a studio instrumental.

So it is of no value at all. Wish she had recorded

    a B side song.

  • I STILL WANT the 45!! Like...MADLY!!

  • @cherstyler that's so funny, i was just lying on my bed reading cher's biography "the first time" and there she stated: "The single just died. My voice was so deep that a lot of people thought I was a gay guy singing a love song to Ringo, and the deejays weren't about to play a homosexual love song. [...] I was sure I'd blown my one big chance."

If she only knew by then... (But the voice doesn't sound that deep?! I somehow like the song;-))

  • @cherstyler I thought "A Woman's Story" was the B side...? hmm.
