Chrome is browser built with SPY-WARE and after I tried it, Eset Nod32 went crazy, warning me of blocked software that tried to connect to the Internet from my System 32 folder... I uninstalled Google Chrome around the middle of last year after using it for a series of months. Back then I filled out the questionare stating why I uninstalled it. Today I reinstalled Chrome to find that the series of bugs I complained about have been resolved. Nice to know someone there is listening.

Go to tools, then options, then select the checkbox so the home icon is there

You can add the "Home" icon to your Chrome Browser.

1. Click on the "wrench" link

2. Click on "Options"

3. Click on "Basics" tab

4. Click the "Show Home Button on the Toolbar" check box is checked.

Also, from the Basics tab you can specify a custom page to go to if you do not like the default Chrome Home Page.

The main reason ppl have issues with explore is bc of their OCD to obtain toolbars...the main reason chrome runs faster is bc it doens't allow the attachment of toolbars...(even if the toolbar is a google product I.E. the myspace toolbar) but google chrome is a lil awesome...

Just today I've already set GOOGLE CHROME as my default web browser. Well, fine, Firefox in a way or another is better than this new one if you're into flashy add-ons that we don't get to use most of the time as most of 'em aren't that necessary at all. One thing I've come to love about Google Chrome is its ability to open more quickly than Firefox and its speed is incredible and I just think that those are the more important things than the not so necessary extensions.

Google Chrome rules, I use it as a 2nd browser, as Opera usually crashes. But soon, as things goes on, it will surpass Opera and I will use it as my 1st browser. But one thing is for sure: Google Chrome beats the hell out of Opera and Firefox.

Not possible. Chrome can become more stable as it separates each tab into its own process, and faster at executing javascript but it will not become faster at rendering pages. And it is not currently faster at executing javascript and it using a old version of web kit that they some how managed to mess up so that it does not render some elements that safari has no problems with.

Once again not possible, Chrome is using older version of web kit and will only ever play catch up to Safari on that front. Javascipt is a different matter as they are both developing different javascript engines though currently the engine in Chrome is slower than Safari 4 for executing Javascript.

Firefox is also slower than both Chrome and Safari but it runs on the Gecko engine so it will develop at a different pace to Safari, Chrome, Shiira, and Konquer that all run on the web kit engine.

Safari on windows is rather poor though it has improved greatly since adopting the native windowing style. Chrome will seem like a very fast browser on windows only due to it being the first full native Windows web kit browser.

And i am running a mixed environment of Linux, Solaris, Mac OS, and Windows with the following browsers: Chrome mac, Chrome Windows, Safari 2,3,4 Mac/Win, Firefox 2,3 All, Opera all, Konquer Lin, and Internet exploder 6,7 and 8 win.

I run windows XP, vista and 7 beta, Xp is run in a VM on my macpro and assigned 3GB ram and 2 processors. Vista runs in dual boot, so it has 12 GB ram and 8 core Xeon 2.26 GHz with 8 HT and a Quadro 4800, the 2nd vista box is my gaming machine and has a Core i7 with 6GB ram and a Radion 4870, finally Windows 7 runs in a VM. There are currently 6 VM of Windows XP to run the different versions of each brower and 2 VM of Vista.

Are you kidding me?...it loads faster than Firefox and IE and more aesthetic than them too. The only problem with it is that not as many web applications aren't compatible with it but updates on both ends with fix that.

IE: Probably has the best security and almost all web applications are compatible with it.

Firefox: The add-ons can be useful and cool.

it's not even close to "a billion times faster". occasionally, maybe 5 percent, on a good day, depending on what page you trying to load. i've noticed firefox has it's own bag of problems. sometimes using ie has been better or even faster. that's what i've found. frankly i don't see a significant advantage in overall features or performance using chrome, firefox, or ie.
