Yea, it's been 20 years. I saw it from I-84 in South Windsor and got to it before the FD had water on it. I did over 120mph on I-384 and by the time I got there I had people in Southington that could see the plume.
It was the Recycle truck drivers 1st day working alone.
There was nothing left of the tanker but a little solder on the pavement and the steel axels and rims.
wow i remeber this like it was yesterday the guy that was driving the tanker dale lived but stopped drive after that crash. the girl in the garbage truck died. i drove that truck a few time's my self it was a white road boss. the lady in that house was trying to put the fire out wit a garden hose before the fire department showed up lol
