If you can get hold of a copy of the 1977 sequel, "Stand up Virgin Soldiers" he has a longer cameo where he says one or two words.

He was dropped from the Deram records roster in early 1968 and wouldn't get signed to Mercury until the spring of 1969, so I guess he had to do something in between to earn a living.
