I think what needed to be stressed here was that these people were organized by Fox and acted like an angry mob rather than attending for any civil discussion. The fact that they screamed and shouted while other citizens were speaking is contrary to a democracy or any public discourse; the very point of having town hall meetings. I think what needed to be stressed here was that these people were organized by Fox and acted like an angry mob rather than attending for any civil discussion. The fact that they screamed and shouted while other citizens were speaking is contrary to a democracy or any public discourse; the very point of having town hall meetings. These people are not just tools, they are actually degrading free speech, democracy, and working for fascism- the biggest threat to a democracy.

47M uninsured
25M under-insured (those will go bankrupt if they have a crisis)
10% national unemployment (300M people in the US)
Now do some rough math: That's 47+25+30= 105Million that are in a position of grave financial risk if they get sick.
Now realize that 15% (45M) people are less than 19 years old.
That's 105M out of 255M people.....

There may be some rallying of the troops, but that does not mean it is not grassroots. People going are volenteering their time and energy to speak out on this.
Obama sided organizations, unions, acorn, etc have been putting large amounts of money to bus in their troops with boxed lunches, and printing posters and t shirts.

BTW, a new consortium of organizations is challenging Nielsen. Maybe we'll start getting some real numbers about how many people watch FOX.

Honestly you don't have to quit voicing your opinion but there is a way to do it. Going to town halls to yell, scream and shout and not let the next person be heard isn't right. All these stories of "Death Panels" and euthanasia and such has to stop. I you want to learn something you have to do more than talk you have to listen too. Along with 120 million who can barely afford the coverage they have and have inefficient insurance. We spend twice of our GDP than other first world nations spend on health care (17%), it costs 2 to 3 times per American family than what other first world countries do. Premiums have skyrocketed over the past 15 years and they're only going to go up as Baby Boomers retire (and more "pre-existing conditions" are found).
Why should insurance companies stand between Americans and their doctors?

Spin warning!! Just in at a town hall meeting today a man walked in and shot all the hecklers in the room. When questioned by the police he simply stated he wanted the hecklers to meet his son that died as a result of his insurance company refusing to pay for his operation, maybe than they would know just how wrong they were! Dont get mad at me for this I stated it was spin to start with and it is not true! Would anyone be surprised to read it really happened?

I watched that video this morning, and calling it a "huge fight" is a gross misrepresentation. What I saw was a couple of big guys shoving protesters out of the meeting hall.

It clearly discusses the possibilities of forced sterilization, the state taking babies from unwed mothers, putting sterilizers in our drinking water, and forcing China style limits on the number of children you are allowed to have, which of course you would have to get permission from the government to have ANY to begin with.
