  • hello grandmaster. i study under your student sifu don walth. this is some of my qigong work at my channel... i will send a video in response. sifu walth gave me excellent training in the basic forms you taught him and him me.... i am happy you trained him and gave me a wu style lineage.... G

  • does tai chi also do iron palm and other things because im about to take tai chi lessons and i need to make sure i know what its ALL about

  • @zezima48 Tai Chi Iron Palm? Never heard of it. That sort of hardness is kind of contrary to the Tai Chi Chuan philosophy but I'm sure there's a tai chi chuan master out there who has worked on this. We do know of many Iron Palm practitioners who also train in tai chi chuan has a supplement to their hard style training. Helps to prevent long term nerve damage from intensive Iron Palm practice.

  • @zezima48 Tai chi ins an internal style, and the Iron palm techniques are an External set of techniques. Kung Fu is usually the ones who start with the iron palm basics and then eventually once mastery of the external style, whatever it may be, has been reached, one turns to an internal style to finalize their knowledge in true martial arts.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • this guy is priceless

  • ¡Hello!, somebody knows ¿what's the name of the song?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hello Sifu! Videos are wonderful. It was an honor to learn the form from you, sifu Frank and Sifu Lenny. Many regards.

  • Which Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan is this? I've never seen any of these exercises and I'm a Wu Style disciple.

  • These exercises are handed down from the Wu Style teacher at the Singapore Ching Mo Gymnasium in the 1930's. This version of Wu Style has been in the Ng Wai Nung branch of Northern Eagle Claw since then. Each tai chi class starts with these and many other similar exercises. It's an excellent exercise regimen.

  • Interesting. Are they considered part of the 24 Forms of Chi Kung that Wu Style TCC practice?

  • This branch has two forms, the Long Form and the Fast Form. The long form (Gah Gee) consists of 108 "movements" and takes about 45 minutes to complete. The Fast Form is essentially the same form but is performed in the course of 7 minutes. The exercises are done before the class performs the long form.

  • I am a disciple of Sifu Eddie Wu Kwong Yu. We also practice the 108 movement long form, as well as the round / fast form. Are the exercises in this video part of the 24 Forms of Chi Kung? We practice the 24 Forms, but your exercises do not look familiar.

  • These exercises are modified from the standard warm-up and ch kung excerises during the class. They are not referred to as "24 forms" as far as we know.
